Okay, maybe I’m missing something but why should Stefano be shaking in his boots if Bo and Hope approach him with this IOU? Like he’s some kind of honorable guy? Just what has he to lose if he refuses? Unless of course, there’s something more to this than we know right now.
brought that up to Bo. So what that Stefano gave Alice an "IOU". He’ll just do what he usually does when Bo and Hope try to be cops to him…he’ll laugh in their faces. Their encounters with him make me laugh too!
Not to mention when Hope asked him about it he told her some things should be left alone. What’s the big secret.
I know John is innocent and should not be in jail, but Stefano is the last person that should be helping John. How would it look for the most evil man in Salem to "pull strings" as he calls it, and get John released out of jail. I would think all the innocent people that lost their savings, would really be upset if they knew Stefano was behind everything. After all, if they lived in Salem, wouldn’t they know about the evil, evil man who gets by with anything and makes a mockery of the police .

would be made public. It would have to stay very hush-hush and done behind the scenes. Or, it could also hurt EJ’s plans for becoming mayor, just as he’s trying to use John’s friendship/help against Abe.
Also, if you’re going to bribe a judge, or whatever he has to do, you certainly wouldn’t publicize it or want anyone to know. But, quite frankly, I don’t think he’s going to do it anyway. I think ultimately it’ll be Carrie and Rafe that save the day.
As to John’s reticince to allow Stefano to help him, I don’t understand his reasoning. After all, Stefano has done a multitude of terrible things to him and his family. I think I’d look at it as a small bit of atonement for his past deeds rather than thinking of it as a favor that they’d need to be indebted to him for.
he could be a Dimera through John. We know that Stefano has known who John was all along. He would never want to lose EJ to John so it would cause trouble if it ever came out that EJ his son, not Stefano’s. But the big problem with this is that EJ would have slept and had children with a Brady (a blood relative) which is really icky! But, that would be another reason why Stefano didn’t want EJ with Sami. All this is just speculation on my part but it might make for some interesting fun in the land of Salem! lol
When EJ first came to town he had orders from Stephano to find a Brady to marry him. That’s why he was so set on Sami.
I don’t see why Hope had to go to Stefano at all. The IOU states something like …"the bearer of this note is to be given all the benefits that would be given Stefano DiMera." So why can’t she just take it to the judge? Everyone who is connected know the DiMeras.
this story line has been running that maybe John was E.J.’s father and that Kristen was his mother, and that both Stefano AND Kristen knew this all along, and that’s why Kristen wouldn’t tell Hope anything more than she could when Hope called her. She knew what would happen to her if she gave up Stefano’s secret. JMO, and pure speculation; nothing more.
