"At the time of his birth, Susan was hired by Stefano to impersonate Kristen DiMera, Stefano’s adoptive daughter who miscarried John Black’s baby. Susan initially believed that Elvis Presley was her baby’s father, but the truth eventually came out that Stefano was the one who fathered her baby via artificial insemination. Kristen’s misdeeds were eventually exposed, and Susan fell in love with Edward Crumb and returned to England with little Elvis. E.J. was partly brought up by Susan, but Stefano also had a significant involvement in his upbringing at Maison Blanche. During much of E.J.’s childhood, Stefano enrolled him in English boarding schools, took him to operas, and molded him into the DiMera way of life.
EJ returned to Salem in 2006 and was introduced as E.J. Wells, a racecar driver. He moved across the hall from Sami Brady, who was involved with Austin Reed at the time. Unbeknownst to all of Salem, E.J. was Stefano DiMera’s son sent to Salem to do his father’s bidding. Most importantly, Stefano made it clear that E.J.’s sole purpose in Salem was to plant his DiMera seed into the Brady woman of his choice". See: About.com’s biography on E.J. DiMera.
Patti’s Note: At least this is how it was told in the beginning, but with Stefano’s character being what it is has always been, I can’t help but wonder…… are these truly E.J.’s bio-parents? I’m not so sure!
December 21, 2011 at 7:16 pm #29802SWParticipantanother Brady? Super genetics??? I was taught in biology that intermarriage caused issues not created geniuses? But then the show seems to forget some things. Today for example Kate talking about how hard it was for her to raise Austin/Billie and Lucas – hello Kate, you only raised Lucas!! Billie and Austin were raised by their father, Curtis Reed, who told them their mother was dead and Kate that the kids were dead as I remember it.
I still think something is amiss here. Maybe if it came out that John was EJ’s biological father, Stefano would fear his losing control of EJ?
December 21, 2011 at 8:00 pm #29806luckeyParticipanthelp anyway. All he did was give Bo and Hope some cryptic mumbo jumbo and they’ve taken it back to Carrie and Rafe who are just doing what they’ve been doing all along…following the clues. They won’t owe Stefano a thing when this all gets sorted out…and he won’t pay any price along with EJ for what they’ve done yet again to John Black…stupid and disgusting!
December 21, 2011 at 8:55 pm #29807DeeLanParticipantIf this it could be true that EJ is John’s son I’m thinking that Stefano didn’t know John was Santo’s son. Colleen did run off and they all thought she was dead.
December 21, 2011 at 9:02 pm #29810BonbonParticipantshe was talking to Susan Banks. And I don’t know how John could possible be EJ’s father. He never had any relationship with Susan.
December 21, 2011 at 9:05 pm #29811BonbonParticipantIt can cause either extreme intelligence or extreem lack thereof. It just depends on the dominant genes.
December 21, 2011 at 9:14 pm #29812SWParticipantshe would have been successful. Let’s see, Kate and Roman had twins together that I’m guessing Roman knew nothing about. John was held for a while by Stefano so who knows what he did to him to get ‘sperm’? Maybe the real kicker would be that Hope and John were the biological parents of EJ and that Susan was just like "Vivian with Philip – the ‘carrier’ of the egg"? I see the writers doing all sorts of things here.
December 21, 2011 at 10:26 pm #29815DeeLanParticipantMaybe he’s another of Maggie’s children from those eggs she had harvested.
December 21, 2011 at 11:20 pm #29818PattiParticipantI’m still sticking to my belief that either Stefano is not E.J.’s father, or Susan is not his mother. Everyone has certainly seen what this man is capable of, and I would not put anything past him. Otherwise, why is he trying so hard not to let Hope and Bo have any information on this stupid IOU? There’s more to this than Alice saving E.J.’s life as an infant.
December 21, 2011 at 11:21 pm #29819PattiParticipantEOM.
December 21, 2011 at 11:37 pm #29820macrrParticipantI agree with your initial statements, but must wonder, WTH has Carrie and Team John been doing all this time? As I understood today’s show, an internet connection-or lack thereof- seems to be key. Why wouldn’t they have already double–triple checked–how John supposedly made these transactions? REALLY? Carrie isn’t much of an attorney, and Rafe cannot be called anything close to an investigator, if this had not already been checked out.
December 22, 2011 at 3:57 am #29822caseyParticipantneed to go to Alice for help in saving EJ? Why her and exactly how did she help ? What was wrong w/EJ that was such a big deal and why the secrecy? Unless Alice knew something, like EJ’s parents weren’t who everyone thought?
I haven’t seen entire episodes so were any of these questions addressed?December 22, 2011 at 4:50 am #29825DeeLanParticipantI got the impression it was Susan and not Stefano that went to Alice. Stefano found out about it after the fact and he was grateful to Alice.
December 22, 2011 at 12:48 pm #29828SWParticipantand Stefano didn’t find out about it until after. Susan probably went to Alice because she knew Alice had medical connections that could help her and she could trust her. I believe Susan was keeping EJ away from Stefano at that time.
December 22, 2011 at 1:24 pm #29829caseyParticipantit was Susan who actually contacted Alice.
