ParticipantWhat an overblown mess. The one Madonna song with the pompoms was way too young for a 50 year old, no matter how great shape she’s in. It made her look silly.
And that one dude flippin’ the bird? How tacky can you get?February 6, 2012 at 2:30 pm #30833luckey
Participantmost entertaining that I’ve seen in a very long time. It was interesting that she surrounded herself with several current entertainers. Personally, I think she should have and could have carried it all by herself. My guess is she was making sure that she reeled in all age groups. All in all, I enjoyed all of it. As for the finger gesture…that’s something that you take a chance with when you have the younger performers that we have nowadays…just sayin’.

Participantto dump all the excess and just let it be Madonna and a few dancers. I did enjoy Like A Prayer.

ParticipantThe ones where they had all the bands doing formations, spectatular things going on all over the field, and more like the Olympics put on (only on a smaller scale, of course). I haven’t really cared for one single half-time since they started putting on "mini concerts." But then, I’m probably just an old fuddy-dud.

Participantthey used to get the audience involved with placards and lights? Remember when the Super Bowl used to be played in the afternoon – that goes way back!

Participantand it is, after-all, the Super Bowl, so I expect a spectacular show. The other stuff like the marching bands and place-cards and such, to me, are more for college bowls. JMO.

Participanton the west coast. It started there at 3:00. It’s kind of difficult when you are airing a program live all across the nation because of the four time zones. When I moved to California, I hated having to getting up so early (on New Year’s Day, no less) to see the Rose Parade when I was used to seeing it around noon in Illinois.
They don’t do that with the Oscars. I love watching it and calling my son in San Francisco (he and his wife are big movie buffs) and telling him who won something. He always tells me he’s going to hang up on me but he never does. :o) He just goes along with my little game. He’s such a sweety.
