Was Jeff too hard on Purple Kelly and Naonka for quitting. It seems like they both had the same problem, the pain the cold was causing them. I wonder if Naonka might even have (without knowing it) Lupus, that’s one of the major symptoms, cold causing pain in the joints.
One thing I disagree with is them getting to be on the jury. I think if they quit, they should be gone completely and not get to judge the others. JMO Yours?
December 3, 2010 at 2:10 pm #18705PattiParticipantif they quit they should just go home with nothing. Instead they should bring back others who have been eliminated but really wanted to be there. This is, I’m sure, grueling on a healthy person, but if you know you have a physical problem like Naonka has (didn’t she admit to having this problem when it gets cold), then she should not have even tried to compete. The weather is so unpredictable in these jungle-type atmospheres that she should have know what her body could and could not take and just passed up the chance. Yeah, I know … it’s hard to turn your back on a chance at $1,000,000.00, especially with someone like Naonka. She thought she could just intimidate people into backing off of her; she didn’t realize that she and her body would become her own worst enemy. Sorry for her pain, but she (or anyone else) does not deserve to be a member of the jury if they quit, IMO.
December 8, 2010 at 10:59 pm #18816caseyParticipantQuitters should relinquish their rights to be on the jury. Just think of how their fellow jurors will feel – when two of them could have possibly played longer? Nay is a PE teacher so I’m thinking she should be fit. To me she’s just a whiney, selfish, prima donna troublemaker who should have been booted out from the getgo. I’m infuriated she’s on the jury.
As for Kelly, I can’t say whether she was literally shutting down or just mentally not tough enough. We didn’t get to know her that much.December 8, 2010 at 11:49 pm #1882253tdogsParticipantgoing to receive a million bucks, and granted a million after taxes isn’t that much these days, but I’d rather see the other people who were voted off be on the jury. What mom used to say is true! Quitters never win and Winners never quit! I’m sure there were/are a lot of other people that would have given their eye teeth or fake leg to still be in the game.
December 9, 2010 at 12:41 pm #18831BonbonParticipantthere’s nobody left that I really care to have win. Nobody!
December 9, 2010 at 4:13 pm #18844PattiParticipantone of the seniors win it, although I would have rather seen Fabio go before Benry. But, like you said Bonbon, it’s getting down to a "who cares" situation.
December 9, 2010 at 5:03 pm #18853caseyParticipantthe contestant who most deserves to win. She’s one tough cookie who works hard, faces the challenges with all she has and finds a way to keep in the game. Although she can get on my nerves at times, I’m pulling for her. But as it pares down to the end, the tribe will be gunning to get rid of her.
But I agree, this season’s lineup hasn’t been one to remember.December 9, 2010 at 9:07 pm #1886153tdogsParticipantBenry go, he always kinda hung back from the cutthroats…I don’t want Daniel to win, he’s not deserving – he’s not done one thing that I could see other than mooch off the others…Think Sash should go next week as well as Fabboyo (tee-hee) …then Dan…and Holly and Jane and Chase will duke it out…but I was glad last week when NaaaaaaaaaaNOTOKa went – I don’t think she or the other quitter KellyPink or whatever should be allowed on the jury.
December 20, 2010 at 5:47 am #1919153tdogsParticipantgood ol’ southern country boy. Fab, I didn’t care for but was my second pick cause I didn’t like cutthroat Sash – didn’t like him at all.
Glad to know they are going to change the rules, and that a lot more people felt like we did, you quit you shouldn’t be on the jury. The show should have planned for that contingency along time ago.
December 20, 2010 at 12:32 pm #19197BonbonParticipantAfter they took Holly out, Fabio was my next choice. I’m glad he won. I didn’t like either Chase or Slash. Interesting that Slash didn’t even get one vote from the jury. I guess that tells us a lot.
I was flabergasted at Dan’s remarks. He seemed like such a mild-manner wuss all during the game but he sure let loose on the panel, didn’t he? And didn’t you just love how Marty let Chase have it? I was LMAO at his remarks.
And I can see now where NaOnka gets her personality. Her mother sounds like she’s just like her. She truly didn’t get how people could not like her. I don’t agree with Jeff (geeze, I love that guy!) that she’s the most disliked player in the history of the show though. There have been a couple in the past that were even worse, IMO.
Yeah, I like how they changed the rules of the game because of Na and Purple Kelly. And the new Redeemer Island sounds very interesting. You’ve got to hand it Mark Burnette, he sure knows how to keep the game going and interesting. He’s a really smart fella.
December 20, 2010 at 2:49 pm #19203PattiParticipantthey were so spot on and they didn’t hold back. Most, if not all, of what they said to Chance and Sash was true. Fabio won simply because he was the best of the worst, didn’t back-stab much, or, simply said, the lesser of three evils. I, too, was amazed that Dan exploded the way he did, and I loved it. Frankly, I expected more from Naonka and Marty, but not of Dan. Good for him. Amazing how great these people look when they’re back home and cleaned up. I think the best example of that might have been Jane. She was glowing last night, looked very pretty, IMO, and I still think she deserved to win.
December 20, 2010 at 4:49 pm #19206caseyParticipantor should I say Jud, taking the prize. Chase was gullible and not very strong. Fabio, taking the last three wins was impressive after he gave the initial impression of a beach bum.
I was surprised Jane didn’t give it to anyone with both barrels.
Sorry Naonka, but I don’t buy your behavior as simply tuned for Survivor. Stealing food, taking a prosthetic limb, erupting over non-issues and all around selfish actions is unacceptable in any arena. Plus you’re a quitter. -
