Any thoughts on this new installment? What does everyone think of Coach and Ozzy being on board?
That Cocharan kid reminds me of Woody Allen. And that one older gal who freaked out – don’t know how long she’ll last.September 15, 2011 at 1:30 pm #26506BonbonParticipantCoach seems to be a little humbler right now but I wonder how long it’ll last. I always liked Ozzie so will probably be rooting for his team. And I sure hope Russell’s nephew does NOT take after him at all. He was without a doubt my least favorite on ALL the Survivors.
I’m going to a Survivor party on October 1st. That should be fun. I can’t think of how to dress. We’ve even got buffs to wear.
September 15, 2011 at 1:59 pm #26507MKParticipantI thought the episode was pretty good. I’m glad that Cochran wasn’t voted out first. I kind of felt bad for him. He did remind me of Woody Allen too!
Bonbon, one year I was going to dress up as a Survivor player for Halloween. I was going to wear shorts, hiking boots, tank top, and buff but then I didn’t think it was creative enough. Nobody would even know what I was supposed to be!
September 15, 2011 at 3:53 pm #26515PattiParticipantback for another season. Too early yet to pick favorites, but I can already see where some of the women are going to be trouble. The gal voted off last night, what was her name, Shymar or something like that, did deserve to go home though. She was indeed the weakest link. What was her excuse …. ‘I didn’t think the coconuts would be that heavy’ —- OMG. Anyway, glad it wasn’t Cochran, who, for some reason, seems to be the most honest player, at least for now anyway. Big change in Coach … guess we’ll have to see how long that lasts. Ozzie reminds me of another ‘Boston Rob’ in many ways, from the way he is with the girls, to the way he seems so cocky and sure of himself, to the way he already plans to use the girls to keep them from voting him off. In other words, he seems to think he’s all that and then some. LOL. We’ll see now, won’t we Ozzie? As for Russell’s nephew, you know that’s going to come out sooner rather than later and I hope he’s telling it like it is, because so far he seems nothing like his dastardly uncle.
September 15, 2011 at 11:04 pm #2653353tdogsParticipantbut you are correct Patti, the Ozzie character thinks he’s all that and a bag of chips…And yes, the girl did deserve to go…stupid is as stupid does…think that they (Survivor producers) are just playing on the nephew’s good side for ratings and he will become his Uncle incarnate tried and true – I’m sure Unc coached him to the max…
September 15, 2011 at 11:07 pm #2653453tdogsParticipantas a headband and wrist band…folks would get it! Good costume!
September 19, 2011 at 7:11 pm #2663653tdogsParticipantHistory Channel…something about a take off on "Around the World in 80 Days"…on to his next million…
September 19, 2011 at 7:38 pm #26637BonbonParticipantTop Shots on cable and look what Elizabeth H. is doing now. She really struck it big on The View. I guess if you want to break in to show biz, Survivor is the way to do it.
September 19, 2011 at 9:18 pm #2663953tdogsParticipantthis last year, I am shocked that Elizabeth was on Survivor! (Don’t watch the View at all but I’ve seen her on another show and read bits of her book). Haven’t watched Top Shots but seems like it would be a good show considering I’m into all that…
September 22, 2011 at 3:13 pm #26691caseyParticipantis getting on my nerves as bad as his uncle. Like he making such a big deal about Mykala’s attractiveness and how he is battling to contain himself. How ridiculous can you get!
September 22, 2011 at 9:52 pm #26707PattiParticipantand that it will come out more and more each week, if he lasts that long. Was he outed last night? I was watching other new shows and didn’t watch much of Survivor, and have not yet had the chance to view it on my Xfinity Watchlist.
September 22, 2011 at 10:10 pm #26708BonbonParticipantIt was the older women who went "beserk" last week. Russell’s nephew wanted them to vote off Michaela because he was trying to "stay true to his wife" and she was tempting him. Can you believe that? But Coach convinced everybody else to vote the other women off because she wasn’t contributing much to the tribe.
So now there’s two crack-pots on Redemption Island. It’ll be interesting to see their "duel."
September 23, 2011 at 12:07 am #2671353tdogsParticipanthis inablity to handle a woman in a mature manner, to me he feels threatened – he may have strayed in the past but if that’s the case, he can’t be around anyone in the bikini clad world he’s currently in. I think Uncle has coached him on how to play the game, and he is feigning playing the awwww shuckie darn I’m a bad boy gone good.
September 23, 2011 at 12:08 am #2671453tdogsParticipantCoach – even though he kept saying he was not going to say any thing to anyone. He’s playing a game…and not very well…
September 29, 2011 at 6:11 pm #26911MKParticipantOzzy reminds me so much of Johnny Depp! They don’t look exactly alike but there is definitely a strong resemblance. And the guy Jim on that team reminds me of Tony Dovolani from DWTS. They don’t look that much alike and I think Tony is better looking but I think it’s the smile that’s similar.
Also, it’s getting kind of gross watching the guys walking around in their underwear. Why do we always need to see this? I don’t ever recall people walking around in their underwear in earlier seasons. The underwear is dirty, saggy, and I laugh at how sometimes they have to block out "the stuff" even if it is contained in the underwear. LOL Remember Philip from last season? His junk was all over the place so they had to keep blocking it out.
