about the underwear. Phil left nothing to the imagination and that was downright gross.

If you noticed last season they eventually all ended up with swim suits but would still walk around in that stupid underwear.  I don’t know who (maybe gay guys?) would be interested in seeing that.  To me it’s just plain disgusting and very high "ewww" factor.

Ozzy reminds me a little of Jason Cook (original Shawn D.).  I think it’s his smile.  In any case, I so agree about the underwear.  It’s certainly not flattering to them in any way, shape or form.  Phillip from last year was revolting in those baggy, stretched out damn pink briefs.  Uggghhh!  If they know they’re going to walk around like that, they should at least wear boxers.

if you hadn’t mentioned it but, yes, Ozzy does look like Johnny Depp, especially his left profile.

But I think Jim REALLY looks like Tony, just a little heavier.  Not just his smile but his whole face.

I’ve never had a problem getting into and sticking w/Survivor since its inception. But this installment for me is not very involving, to the point where I haven’t even tuned in for the whole episode.
I was always able to indentify the players and they were all, for the most part, interesting. But this season’s lineup, outside of Ozzy and Coach, I couldn’t tell you who’s who, except for Russell’s nephew, Cochran and a couple others. No one jumps out at me and so far I can’t find anyone I’m rooting for. Even Ozzy and Coach aren’t lighting it up.
Maybe it’s poor selection or lack of chemistry, or dare I say maybe Survivor has run its course? Whatever it is, I’m just not excited.

get about half way into the show before you become invested in the individual players.  I’m just now getting to that point where I remember their names and their strategies.

I’m having mixed feelings about Ozzie and Coach and almost think the producers will keep them there until the end (isn’t it kind of strange how they they both found an idol?), although Cochran may just pull off his coup against Ozzie.  He was successful getting his "honey" voted off last night.  It would really be funny if Ozzie got voted off again with the immunity idol still in his pocket like he did last time.

He’s also playing the game the way it should be played, and personally I like him.  He may just be the one to convince his tribe to get rid of Ozzie.  For now I’m still watching, but find I’m losing not all, but some, interest as well.  I do know that I’m glad that whiny mortician got sent home last night.  That woman just had too many problems with her tribe.  When will people realize that you can catch more flies with sugar than you can with vinegar.  I’m not having problems so far with Coach.  At least he’s not pontificating like he did the last time.  That’s when he really got on my nerves.  That being said, now that Elise was sent to Redemption Island and is out from under Ozzie’s influence, I can almost see him coming apart and doing something stupid, like turning on his whole tribe because he lost his little honey.

recommendation from a very close friend watch the last season and actually liked it….but this year…predictable and boring….AND last’s nights challenge was a gag/hurl fest…that was a gross thing!  Very gross.  Most shows do well for a time as the public likes the latest and greatest, (I liken the American public and some of our entertainment mores to the crowds of Rome at the coliseum with the lions…then the next thing when the crowds got bored add the people to be devoured by the lions.  How else do we explain "Snooky" and some of the other things on t.v.?

you should have been watching when they had to eat disgusting things…bugs, worms, rotten eggs, horrible stuff.  If you’ve ever watched Fear Factor, those are the things they had to eat.

They must have gotten some bad feedback (no pun intended) because they don’t do that anymore…thank God!!!

I will say that Mark Burnett is pretty clever and is constantly tweaking this show just about every season to give it something a little bit different.  The last thing he added was Redemption Island.  It’s probably about time to come up with something else new.  I guess bringing Coach and Ozzie back was this year’s contribution.

I really believe that to fully enjoy this show, you have to watch it consistently so you can become invested in the characters, otherwise I don’t think it would be interesting at all…well, except for the challenges.  I love those.  And I LOVE Jeff Probst.

icked me out so much I couldn’t watch the show…and this is coming from someone who has had a lot of strange things to eat in real life, frogs legs, Rocky Mountain oysters, haggis, chocolate covered ants, etc., etc.  But they were cleaned and cooked and not just dumped like swill in a plastic container where you had to eat the gross stuff along with the particular item…yeeeeeeeeeeeech!

fit boy (Ozzy) gives him credit for…what a coup de tat for the little guy to pull off!  And even better if next time he takes down macho man…I love "UnderDog" !

Coach’s team would have definitely won that challenge if it were not for her stupidity and refusal to take suggestions.  She is determined not to take any advice from anyone, especially Coach, who was right all along about her one-handed, no aim-talent for that challenge.  She’s an impudent know-it-all and thinks she can make it on her own talent, of which there is NONE.  She’s been a bone of contention for me from day 1.

when he wanted to boot her off from the getgo, albeit for different reasons. But yeah, she kept saying “I’ve got it” and didn’t make one accurate attempt. Coach should have pulled her off and demanded someone else go. I’m thinking though Christine’s luck is due to change and I have a feeling Mykala will be back. Have to hand it to Christine though – did not think she’d be winning all these challenges.
