Shamar wasn’t like this in the military!
March 1, 2013 at 3:22 pm #38237PattiParticipantI hope Shamar is standing long after Reynolds and Eddy are gone, but I really need to see more shows to see if Shamar will be improving in his attitude; otherwise, I think he’ll take his self out. I can see he does not like being told what to do, but in his case it’s because he knows these two are trying to get rid of him, and will attempt to influence the rest of the tribe against him as well. So far it’s not working for them; but, regardless, if it continues much longer, I expect he’ll quit. What does surprise me, though, is that at tribal council, everyone seems to be against him and throws him under the bus for his attitude, but when it comes time to vote, they don’t vote him out.
March 1, 2013 at 6:07 pm #38249BonbonParticipantAs soon as they got to camp he plopped himself down and said he didn’t intend to do anything but sit there and relax.
But, like Patti says, I don’t know why he’s not getting voted off. I think it’s because the girls think they need him for the immunity challenges. And, again, I think he is being kept there as this season’s protagonist. They have to have one every year. Philip is the one for the favorites and he’s the one for the fans. And they tend to stick around until the end.
March 7, 2013 at 3:56 pm #38417MKParticipantIt’s too bad about Shamar’s eye but I’m glad he’s gone. When he said he wanted rice to be brought to him everyday, that was it for me. One of the women (the one who was closest to him) was actually serving him rice and said she doesn’t even do that for her own husband! Can’t even believe she would be stupid enough to give in to him. Too bad he even applied to be on the show when it was his intention to not do anything from day one.
March 7, 2013 at 4:09 pm #38420caseyParticipantthat no one had the guts to stand up to that lazy moocher and tell him where to head. Did he really think this was a stradegy to get him along in the game, that he could dictate any of his needs thinking his bulk for challenges would keep him safe? Or was this truly his personality? I can’t imagine his attitude would fly in Irag!
March 7, 2013 at 4:32 pm #38423PattiParticipanteven though no one believed he had an injury and just thought he was pulling another huge hissy fit. Afterward, Reynold admitted that he did have an eye injury and even admitted he was wrong to doubt him. They were all so sure he was putting on an act, but honestly I’m glad he did go home, because it was obvious the tribe was never going to gel — not them to him, nor him to them, so it’s best he’s gone. I just hope Reynold or Eddie doesn’t win. Now the others will see what I have been seeing all along with these two.
March 7, 2013 at 6:10 pm #38435BonbonParticipantI can’t believe anybody would act like that, and, I’ll say again, it was all a ploy by the producers. Now they’re are going to have to come up with someone else to be the "bad guy." Any guesses who?
But, when he said he scratched his eye, I knew he was going home. I have had a couple of corneal abrasions and, let me tell you, they are extremely painful. The first one was so bad I spent three days in bed drugged silly so I wouldn’t move my eye. There’s no way he could have stayed there.
BTW, it looks like Brandon is going to completely bezerk next week. We saw him dumping all the rice out. Wonder what that’s all about.
March 7, 2013 at 8:42 pm #38438PattiParticipantwho has already threatened to pee in the rice if he gets thrown off. He’s a good competitor and strong in the challenges, but obviously he’s a train wreck waiting to happen, and it looks like it’s going be next week.
