Thoughts? Opinions?
OMG, I despise that cocky little bastard…know who I mean?
And, although I’ve never been a Boston Rob fan, I’m really rooting for him this time. It would be a horrible mistake to vote him off this quickly. I hope they kick that woman who wanted to do just that (Kristina?) off the island PRONTO.
And does anybody believe that big black guy was actually a federal agent? He sure has an attitude but nobody else seems to believe him. I can’t wait until he knocks heads with Russell. Now THAT should be entertaining.
I think this series is going to be one of the best yet. You’ve got to hand it to Mark Burnett, he sure knows how to keep his shows interesting the way he adds those little twists each year.
February 18, 2011 at 12:22 pm #21005PattiParticipantI completely forgot it was on last night. Hopefully they will re-run it.
February 18, 2011 at 3:51 pm #21014caseyParticipantto see how those voted off and banished to the island will factor in on who returns to the game.
That was a wild tribal counsel last night. Kristina almost blew it when she didn’t use the idol.
Russell actually doesn’t interest me that much seeing he was in back to back to back shows. I always prefer new people and have not enjoyed the returnees as much.
But definitely Rob vs Russell should stir up the fireworks. Not to mention that domineering FBI guy.February 22, 2011 at 12:44 am #2112753tdogsParticipantthat retirement could be so busy?!!?? LOL!
First thing I noticed when watching them all huddle on the beach in the opening of the show was three of the girls were wearing high heels! GMAB! You knowingly go into a jungle or wild beach area on a show called Survivor and you wear friggin’ high heels? Who do they think they are??? Chloe???
Secondly – in the first six minutes of the show I already have my favorite unless he turns out to be a real clunker soon which I seriously doubt he will. Mike the Marine! One, he’s a Marine. Two – he knows survival, he served our country – not once but twice in the war. Just for doing that he deserves to win a million plus! Mike doesn’t have to prove he’s a real man like the other three or four yahoos are trying to do, (especially, the nimrod who’s claiming constantly he was a secrect service agent running around in his undies), he is a man.
February 22, 2011 at 12:20 pm #21138BonbonParticipantthey are taken right off the plane they fly to wherever it is they meet up and then go right to the island. They aren’t given time to change clothes. But notice later in the show they will all be wearing sneakers. Did you see also that one guy was wearing a suit?
I think they are allowed to bring some things with them. If you watch during the whole season, you’ll notice everybody (although they’re in the same thing most of the time) has different clothing at times. Notice, eventually, they all have swim suits. What I hate is the guys running around in their underwear. Yuck! But I think TPTB think that is an attraction to the girls. Not me.
And, Pammy, he didn’t say he was Secret Service, he said a "Federal Agent." That could even turn out to be someone who works for the IRS.
February 22, 2011 at 8:07 pm #2115653tdogsParticipantin the woods, the jungle, or some kind of wild-lands, it’s not in New York City for goodness sake! (And yes, I forgot to mention the guy in the suit – but he’s just the same as the girls with the high heels).
I couldn’t remember what the "Fed" said when he said what he was, but he was implying over and over again with his verbiage and tone that he could tell if someone was lying by the "tells" and their "face ticks" – that’s what gave me to consider him (at least in his mind) that he was some kind of law enforcement. But you could well be correct, the IRS does have law enforcement officials as well, just don’t pay your taxes to the Uncle one year and they will come a callin’!!! LOL! But he still is sleezy to me – just for walking around in his BVD’s – I thought of the Michael Jordan undies commerical, and this guy isn’t any Michael Jordan by a long shot!
February 26, 2011 at 3:12 pm #21281caseyParticipantby Rob’s team to vote off Matt. What – just because he has a crush on a teammate and shook hands with a guy on the winning team?
At this early stage it’s all about hanging onto strong players to win challenges. And with this tribe losing the first two, have to wonder.
I really want to see Russell get blind-sided. His arrogance is worse than ever and this attitude will never win him the game.February 26, 2011 at 7:43 pm #21283BonbonParticipantRob said a "couple" can be a dangerous thing. Just look at what he and Amber accomplished as a couple. He just thought they should be broken up, it was one or the other had to gt before they got too strong as an alliance.
And I’m so with you about Russell. What a pompous ASSHOLE! I’m so glad that farmer found the idol. Oh, wait until Russell finds out THAT! But I think the players will be suggested by the producers to keep him on for a while because he is a big draw in the ratings. I don’t know why since so many people dislike him.
February 26, 2011 at 8:23 pm #2128853tdogsParticipantlast year also which is why they also turned on him, even though they didn’t say that. I think Francesca can take Matt if there is a physical duel on Redemtion Island – he seems to be too much of a nice guy to really get into it with a woman. That may be his downfall.
Ewwwwwwwwwwwww ick! I just can’t stand that Phillip. What a pompus a- -! He’s just plain > insert any word that isn’t a good description here<. What a doofus – if he is any kind of federal anything – then God help the USA!
March 11, 2011 at 3:38 am #21634caseyParticipantI think his tribemate and partner in crime Stephanie could be just as evil. I cannot stand her and from the previews looks like she and her cohort will be stirring up some trouble next week.
March 12, 2011 at 3:12 pm #21667PattiParticipantand, I have to disagree just a little bit about Russell. Sure he was arrogant and nasty, that was his downfall, but he did know how to play the game. He just didn’t know when to keep his mouth shut. To me, Boston Rob is just as dangerous, if not more-so, than Russell. Only difference is he’s a "pretty boy" and the women get all flustered over him. Hell, except for Kristina, he can talk those stupid girls into doing just about anything he wants. That’s why he was so determined to take out Kristina, because he couldn’t work her like he could the rest. I think Matt was a threat to him, and I also think he was a little jealous of Matt. I mean, c’mon, he can’t have anybody in camp better looking than him. His team is weak and he knows it, so he’ll be around for the merge, probably, and then everyone will see just how devious he can be, too. Personally, I think Matt’s in the best position to take it all if he can keep defeating his opponents while he’s on Redemption Island, and he’s young enough and strong enough to do it, and seems like a pretty good kid. I like him.
March 12, 2011 at 3:36 pm #21669caseyParticipantwhen he admonished his tribe for throwing a challenge just to get rid of him. It’s obvious for all his faults he loved Survivor. Like you said, if he’d shown a shade of diplomacy and not lashed out about the idol, he might still be there.
That’s where he didn’t learn from his mistakes of the last 2 seasons.March 12, 2011 at 7:38 pm #2167053tdogsParticipantkid and smart too if he’s in pre-med. I also am rooting for Mike (?) the Iraq war vet. I like the "normal" people, not these slinky, slimy, snarky people to win.
March 17, 2011 at 2:32 pm #21807PattiParticipantI knew if Omtepe (sp?) won, that either Krista or Natalie would be going home. They were doomed because they glued themselves to Russell thinking he would take them to the end, so once he was gone, they wouldn’t be far behind. Unless Natalie changes her ways, she’ll probably be next. Still hope Matt can keep winning on Redemption Island. It would be so cool if Rob’s plan to take him out gave him the strength and stamina to endure it all the way the end by continuously knocking off all of his opponents sent to Redemption Island. I would love to see Matt beat Rob. Rob’s a huge sneak, and soon these other people will see through him, especially Grant, who found that paper in the coffee and not only let Rob take it away from him, but gave him a shield to escape with it. Grant, you’ll be sorry for that choice.
March 17, 2011 at 8:03 pm #21814BonbonParticipantI didn’t like Rob at all when he was on with Amber but this time I kind of find myself rooting for him, except when I see the old Rob show through like he did last night. I don’t think he’ll last much longer.
I’d kind of like to see Matt go all the way too but with the challenges they give them, anybody could beat him. And I can’t imagine living on that island all alone for the remaining twenty-something days. That would be horrible.
