Happy 45th Anniversary, Susan Seaforth Hayes!
Congratulations to Susan Seaforth Hayes, who becomes the first “Days” actor in history to celebrate 45 years on the show! Susan made her “Days” debut on December 11, 1968 and 14 months later, in February 1970, met the love of her life, Bill Hayes (Doug). Bill & Susan celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary in October, and Doug & Julie’s love has lasted even longer. that they would say she is celebrating 45 years on the show when there were many of those years she didn’t appear at all.
That’s me who is saying it, not Days. It’s the 45th anniversary of her debut on Days. Doesn’t change it being 45 years since she debuted even though she left from 1984-1990. Since she’s the first actor to reach a 45th anniversary on the show, I didn’t feel it necessary to list her absences from the show.
