     Cameron could hardly have a parttime job in Chicago is Salem wasn’t close by.

    Not only that but Ann just pops over there like that?  How did she know where to go?

    I’ve always known it was close to Chicago since everyone goes to the Cubs games.

    some people on here have insisted it’s in another state. Although Salem Illinois is a little farther from Chicago than they portray on the show. It’s probably at least three or four hours away to right downtown. I’m not sure because it’s a long time since I’ve made that trip. We went there on a field trip in high school for the Lincoln history and remember leaving very early in the morning.

    It doesn’t have to be in Illinois.  Wisconsin’s only a couple of hours away and Indiana is closer than that.  Michigan is just around the lake with a short time in Indiana.  A lot of states around Illinois are fans of the Chicago sports teams with the exception of Wisconsin and football.
