There’s our typical Sami blaming everyone going off and being mad they did this to her. We got our rant that we were expecting!! Typical selfish Sami.
May 10, 2012 at 6:04 pm #32931bluebonnetParticipantI’m mad at those people in the safe house myself. How cruel is that they made everyone think they were dead for two days? What if someone couldn’t take the bad news and tried to hurt themselves or something? I don’t think catching Stefano or anything else would be important enough to put your loved ones through that kind of grief unnecessarily. Marlena was the only one in the bunch that mentioned they couldn’t do such a horrible thing to their loved ones, but that comment just sort of got swept under the rug.
May 10, 2012 at 7:00 pm #32940dvalParticipantdoesn’t disappoint, LOL. But I kind of agreed with her, and you bluebonnet, what if she had told the kids? And would Hope and Bo have been so quick to agree to this if Ciera and Caroline were not away? They sort of made it easy for them by having Ciera on a "church" trip with Caroline. And the only one of Marlena’s kids that would be devastated would, once again, be Sami (since I don’t believe anyone ever mentioned telling Eric what had happened or did I miss it?)
Oh…and how about them all being supposed to act as if they were still grieving yet everyone was at the Brady pub sipping the bubbly! Cuz Stefano would NEVER be watching the pub now would he?
May 10, 2012 at 8:38 pm #32944annieoParticipantbecause I thought the same thing. And did I hear Roman say there was a beer truck in the alley to pick them up, then they end up at a safe house. Unless the safe house is in a business area of town it would seem odd to have a beer truck unloading people in a residential neighborhood (esp. with blindfolds). "Now, folks, we want you all to still act like you’re grieving." Yeh, right. How many secrets have ever been kept secret in Salem? Like Stephano has no spies. It might have seemed cruel to let them think everyone was dead, but it sure would be awhole lot easier to keep the grieving looking very real. I can see this plan going very wrong.
May 10, 2012 at 8:41 pm #32946BonbonParticipanthad contacted the out of town people to tell them what was going on. I guess that included Eric.
May 10, 2012 at 9:45 pm #32954PattiParticipantand avoids Sami like the plague. One quick hug and she turns to Will without another look in the direction of her daughter, Sami. No wonder she went off like a rocket. She wanted to very much to have her chance to tell Marlena the things she told Lucas, but for all Marlena cared, Will was the only one in the room. My God, she treated him like her lover instead of her grandson. I’ll admit Sami was obnoxious with Rafe, but he deserves it now thast he and Carrie have decided to be together anyway, Austin or no Austin. I was, at least glad to hear that although Marlena may not judge Carrie for her decision to be with Rafe, at least she certainly didn’t promote to it either. AND, once again Marlena pays more attention to Carrie than to Sami. Shame on you, Marlena. No wonder Sami loves yet hates you at the same time. Honestly, Marlena pi$$ed me off today. The one I felt most sorry for in the room was Nicole. She really was falling for Rafe, and frankly, I would rather see Rafe with Nicole any day than with Carrie. I simply cannot wait until Carrie is off my screen. Wish Austin would stick around, though. He’s been impressive for me this week.
May 11, 2012 at 12:23 am #32956GoldenDaysFanParticipantShe was really obnoxious with Will and he looked like a three year old crying with his head on grandma’s shoulder. I don’t blaim Sami in this one.
May 11, 2012 at 4:09 am #32962DeeLanParticipantThey were drinking the bubbly because it was an Irish wake.
May 11, 2012 at 12:36 pm #32965dvalParticipantI think it’s usually beer or whiskey at an Irish wake, LOL, not champagne.
May 11, 2012 at 12:43 pm #32966dvalParticipantSami went flying over to Marlena and Marlena just kind of blew her off for Will. And if Marlena was a really good "shrink" to her grandson she might suggest to him that he is becoming exactly all the things he says he doesn’t like in his mother. And if she was honest with herself she might see that she is giving Will everything she never gave Sami. The more I see Will, the more I want to slap him up side the head, LOL, just like I want to do to the writers who won’t allow Sami to mature. Although she is spot-on with Austin regarding Carrie and Rafe. And again I want to say that I see NO CHEMISTRY at all between Carrie and Rafe. When she told him her heart was with him it was so LAME in my opnion. No feeling at all, ,just saying a line it seemed. At this point in time they can take Rafe along with Carrie and Austin, and maybe throw Marlena into the mix, too when the new writers take over.
May 11, 2012 at 1:48 pm #32971BonbonParticipantThey may portray Marlena as an excellent shrink but she could probably benefit from seeing one herself.
I agree 100% about her treatment of Will, expecially after the way Sami greeted her.
May 13, 2012 at 2:15 pm #33011mommytutuParticipantThe writing sucks. The real Marlena wouldn’t act like she did, no one would agree to making their loved ones think they’re dead, regardless of wanting to fool Stefano, Irish wake or not, Doug and Julie were drinking and looking very celebratory. I honestly don’t think they could have fooled a soul. Even if Caroline and Ciera were on a trip in reality they would have come home immediately. It would look a lot suspicious to me that they just stayed gone. Lastly, of course Stefano would have spies. Just because a bunch of people died doesn’t mean he’d end his quest to find whatever it is he’s looking for.
May 13, 2012 at 3:53 pm #33012CatLady54ParticipantHow many time now has she been told her mother is dead only to have her come back! (Marlena has to have used up her 9 lives by now.) Sami grew up with her grandparents because they thought Roman & Marlena were dead. And Roman & Marlena both "died" and went to that crazy island a few years ago. No wonder Sami has problems dealing with things. And all these people judging her for sleeping with EJ, once, when they thought Johnny had died (again, Sami has to deal with a false death), yet no one seemed to judge Marlena & John, who were having a long term affair and had a baby together, while she was married to Roman. Will just needs a good slap, Sami has always been there for him and it’s not like her mother set the greatest example for Sami. And Carrie, she just plain irritate the heck out of me. Austin is the love of her life, they get married, all of a sudden she loves Mike. She leaves Mike, because, well you know, Austin IS the love of her life, they get married (after she had married Lucas, her sisters ex) and now she want Rafe – who is still married to her sister! Yet Carrie is still held up as the sweet, wonderful, nice one. I can’t wait for June to come and Carrie to go!
May 14, 2012 at 2:53 pm #33021dvalParticipantEven when you drink at an Irish wake it isn’t in celebration, looking happy and cheerful like those folks did. Dumb. And why did those three, Doug, Julie and Kayla, get left behind but Lucas got to go with Sami when he really had no one there? Because he is Will’s father? Wouldn’t you think Doug would have been allowed to go since he is Hope’s father? Just a dumb thing all around.
May 14, 2012 at 6:32 pm #33025BonbonParticipantI’m not Irish but I can say that whenever there has been a death in the family, we all get together after the funeral and usually there is a lot of laughing and fun that goes one. It’s a time when we get to see family members we don’t see often. Maybe it’s the release of all the sorrow that has gone on before but, without one exception, this has always taken place in our family. Even after my mother died (which was my most devistating loss), we had a big party and many people commented on how she would have enjoyed seeing us having a good time.
