Any of you following the news on this new soap – half of our Salem favorites are on it!
Matt Ashford, Marybeth Evans, Martha Madison, Charles Shaunnesy, Dr. Baker, etc.
July 26, 2010 at 5:23 pm #1487453tdogsParticipantThat means we loose him here… No, I hadn’t even heard of new soap, what broadcasting network? The Bay? Perhaps located on the west coast? Hmmmmm…will have to check it out. Thanks ellenkb!
July 26, 2010 at 5:25 pm #14875NoraParticipantI just posted about this show on the annex board. I’m going to watch it at least once when it comes on.
July 26, 2010 at 6:07 pm #14880MKParticipantI just read on the Annex Board about this new show. It says it’s a web series. That kind of stinks. I can watch it on my computer but I was really hoping it was going to be a tv show.
July 27, 2010 at 12:23 am #14887daysfanforeverParticipantHave you all heard of Venice?
Many of our Days stars are on it, such as:
Crystal Chappel (Carly)
Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe)
Galen Gering (Rafe)
Michael Sabatino (ex-Lawrence)
and
Peter Reckell (Bo)
Shawn Christian (Daniel) who are slated to join the next season

you do have to pay to watch it, though.
July 27, 2010 at 12:13 pm #14901BonbonParticipantHA! No way José!
How in the heck can these actors handle appearing in TWO soaps? I wonder if the the web soap schedules their filming around their DAYS filming.
daysfanforever, do you know what they charge and how they collect it? Paypal? Credit card?
July 27, 2010 at 6:14 pm #14922daysfanforeverParticipantNo, I don’t know, I wasn’t going to pay to watch it myself. As for filming the websoap and regular soap, I think they just film on the weekends, the websoap episodes aren’t that long at all, less than 10 minutes, so they can be done very quickly.
July 27, 2010 at 8:29 pm #1492353tdogsParticipantthose plot lines move along if the soap story is just ten minutes in length?
Bo- I love you Hope
Hope – I love you Bo
Bo – Oh Carly! Ammmmmm, I love you.
Carly – Bo, my long lost love
Hope – Arrrrrrrrrrrrrgh Carly!
Bo – I’m so confused – I love…
The end.
July 28, 2010 at 2:52 am #14930daysfanforeverParticipantespecially since it focuses on 1 central character. Here’s the pilot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EguyzSe974E , you can judge for yourself. You may be surprised by the opening scene if you didn’t catch Crystal on Guiding Light.

July 28, 2010 at 11:11 am #14936BonbonParticipantDoes anyone know if Crystal is gay? I don’t know why she would produce a show that portrays her as a Lesbian if she’s not. Although I willl say, I thought she was much more attractive there than she is on Days. And even in the harsh outdoor lighting which usually isn’t kind to you. Even Galin (sp?) looked better. Also, the acting was very good.
I can honestly say I don’t have an iota of homobophobia in my body, I’ve had and still have good friends who are gay, I still don’t care to see two girls (or guys) making out so I guess I won’t be watching either.
Even if they only film on weekends, that seems to be quite a committment. It’s liking working a full-time job during the week and a part-time on weekends. Not for me. But it seems to be a very professional production and I wish them well and hope they are successful.
July 28, 2010 at 12:29 pm #14942SWParticipantsoap before Days. As to her really being gay, I’d be pretty sure she isn’t since according to all I’ve read, she is married to the actor that plays Lawrence Alamain, they have children, and she’s been with him since they met on Days the first time around. I suppose she could be but I’d really doubt it, what do you think?
July 28, 2010 at 1:45 pm #14945BonbonParticipantLawrence (can’t for the life of me remember his name now). Hmm, kind of strange she is attracted to those parts.
July 28, 2010 at 4:10 pm #14950PattiParticipantbut I would not want to watch this. Whatever floats your boat is fine, but for my tastes, I would not enjoy watching it. However, lots of "straight" actors play gay roles now.
July 28, 2010 at 5:54 pm #14955SWParticipantactors like to do roles that are ‘outside’ of their comfort zone. Think how many love to play the serial killer, bimbo, etc. I remember reading over the years that they like a change from the ‘goodie-two-shoes’ type roles. I guess it’s got more ‘meat’ in it for them? lol
