the DA hearing Nicole and Brady’s conversation

It struck me funny yesterday that the DA (Woods is it?) heard what Nicole and Brady were saying in the pub even though they were talking so quietly, practically whispering at times and he was sitting at the bar not too close to them.  What cracks me up is that at other times, somebody could be in the hospital behind a curtain talking loudly and the person on the other side of it doesn’t even hear them.   Or the same goes for a door–when somebody is yelling behind a door, the person on the other side of the door can’t hear what’s going on.
