Anyone else reminded of the Godfather series with the family gathered today? Obviously Vic is Don Corleone with Justin as Tom the lawyer, Sonny as maybe Micheal the reluctant good guy? And who as hothead Sonny – Brady?
This could be entertaining if they really go for it.The new direction that these writers are taking is fine with me. I like the romance put back in the couples, too. Rafe and Hope and Kayla and Steve–nice touches all around.
I don’t want to see Deimos ever again !!!! Would someone please get him and take him to the Atlantic Ocean to throw him out.
I just couldn’t believe that jack ass(Deimos) was still hanging around . I’m surprised that Victor would let Deimos live there. I don’t believe anything that the jerk and liar say.
Deimos was in the background and I saw a smile on his face. Wonder if that was Deimos or Vincent doing that. Very sweet.
It was very sweet, he seemed genuinely happy that Victor and Philip made up. I really like the character..he’s so complex. Like that smile which I believe was sincere but then he can turn around and do something genuinely awful like let Xander go even though he claims he thought Nicole was his soulmate. In a lot of ways he is like Victor…does awful things on the pretext of "family". Although i do wish he would stop calling Victor "brother" and just use his name…that indicates to me that he really hasn’t gotten over what Victor did to him.
I am really getting to enjoy Deimos, he is an interesting, complex character. He appears to be trying to grow and change, and he keeps sliding into his old nasty ways and catching himself, sometimes. And I do like him and Nicole together, two complex folks fighting to change. Neither of them are cookie-cutter good guy/ bad guy people.
I’m fascinated by how devided people are about Deimos. I totally don’t buy him as a romantic partner for Nicole nor do I believe he’a sincere about anything. I think Nicole is crazy to trust him. But there seems to be a whole contingent of people here that like this character. Different strokes I guess.
I think that he is going to be a character I love to dislike unlike a lot of recent characters who I disliked because there was nothing about them to like…if that makes sense. The characters that served no purpose other than to inspire us to want them gone. Deimos layered and interesting.
I see him so differently than I do. I dispise Deimos. I feel that he is truly evil and is consumed by revenge. He hates Victor and his whole family.
As far as Nicole is concerned, his connection to her is the memory of his long lost love. He is also obsessed with having a child. So his wanting a child far outwayed is love for Nicole. He jumped from woman to woman like changing clothes.
Hed’s a schemer who doesn’t have any concern for family, just for winning!
IMO he is a very evil man. The actor plays him well, but his motives are clear at least to me.
I’m not saying he’s a good guy but a very good character with lots of depth and internal conflicts that make him, to me at least, very interesting to watch. I have to say that he probably bit off more than he could chew with Nancy, LOL. She doesn’t land anybody push her around. Loved seeing Patrika Darbo today. She was terrific and looks great.
The thing with Shane dressing as a priest to follow Theresa into the confessional was a bit much though, if you ask me. Like nobody would recognize him just because he had that collar on?
I understand you poinr of vew. However, I really don’t see internal conflict in him. I feel he has an agenda and it is not conflicted or noble. I don’t buy that he has changed and dont understand how Victor has been fooled.
