Just watched Wednesdays episode….
I don’t like the new Ciara – nope. Don’t like her. I don’t like her acting OR how she doensn’t open her mouth when she talks.
The Theo casting was SPOT ON!!! Looks the part – acts it well. Great job!!!
I really like the new Joey. Cute kid – vulnerable – nice chemistry with Patch and Caroline.
And Chase…. meh – don’t care enough LOL
November 20, 2015 at 6:45 pm #49721piewomanParticipant…Ciara is growing on me…I think her scenes after learning about Bo may prove her acting chops…or not. Joey is cute – appropriately angry at dad, great with Theo. Theo has always been a great character…both the little guy and this new one- someone knows their high-functioning autistic kids! Yeah, Chase is just a filler for now…meh. Can’t wait to see Belle.
Going way off track here…but it was nice to see Bo talking to Chelsea…wonder if they’ll bring her back for his services?
November 20, 2015 at 11:22 pm #49730caseyParticipantfor Ciara at first, but I’m starting to come around. Yes, we shall see how she handles the passing of her father. Wonder if she will go into “mean teen” mode? But her mother is really going to need her now.
November 21, 2015 at 12:35 am #49731PattiParticipantI just don’t want to be ‘teened’ to death with their stories. I don’t mind right now, because Ciara will have a very difficult time because of her obvious love for her parents, and losing Bo may drive her absolutely bonkers; however, I hope she at least tries to understand what Hope will be going through, as well as Shawn D., Caroline, and everyone else who will be affected by Bo’s death. I think the young actress, although inexperienced, is improving, but seeing how she responds to losing her dad after it took so long to get him back will/should prove whether the actress can handle this role.
I really, really like the young actors portraying Theo and Joey, who seem to be comfortable with their roles; however, I’m not too keen on the actor portraying Chase Jennings. I realize he feels like a total outsider now, as well he should, but it’s just something about his acting that doesn’t make me wish to see more of him. Bo’s death should affect these kids, each in their own way, so I’ll hold off on any further comments until I see what they have in store for us.
Claire will return with Belle next week, and it remains to be seen how they will be affected, since they will return with their own grief story to add, on top of Bo’s death. Lots still to come down the line, but these writers are hitting all major beats in restoring DOOL to the Days that used to be. Congrats to everyone involved, in front of the cameras and behind them as well.

November 21, 2015 at 2:19 pm #49746PattiParticipantI think that’s why they gave him the scene of calling and speaking with Chelsea, because RM wasn’t asked back for the 50th. Too bad. I sort of liked Chelsea after a while. I did appreciate Bo calling her and, of course, his "I love ya’ kid" always got to me.
