Good grief, did you see Angelina Jolie? She looked like a stick. That thin is not attractive at all. And I really laughed at the guys who won the next awards posing like she did (both on the red carpet and on stage) with her leg deliberately stuck out through the slit in her skirt and her hand on her hip. Too funny.
And, I thought the line of the night was when Billy Crystal (who did a fabulous job, IMO) said he could tell what people were thinking by looking into their eyes. They showed a picture of the dog from The Artist and he said, "I’d lick ’em if I had ’em." I don’t know why but that made me LOL.
Oh, and the redhead from The Help was hilarious. I didn’t know she was a commedian. She pulled it off very well.
All in all, I think it was a pretty good program. No surprises or shocks, no embarassing comments. Maybe a little boring but I enjoyed it.
I liked Billy Chrystal and I definitely agree with you about Emma Stone. She did a great job with that comedy routine. Another funny moment was the "focus group" reviewing The Wizard of Oz. I love those actors from Best in Show and Waiting for Guffman!
for some surprises – the results had been predicted. And only the speech from the Pakastani woman was memorable for me. I just kind of miss some controversy to spice it up.
Billy was fine – certainly the best master of ceremonies – but his opening had been done several times already.
And what was with only two songs nominated?
I didn’t notice Angelina looking thinner than usual. She could sure work that gown!
