Looking at Days Cafe’s "Day Ahead" post, it seems Ian put the gloves in place and Ian also put the bullets in place. Hmmmm, I am beginning to think it was Ian, though EJ being jailed for it bothers not one bit.

But I’m not at all convinced he is dead. The two halves of one coin must mean their was another Stefano somewhere. Wonder why the interest in the half coin has dropped just because he was shot? I would think if Bo and Hope are as curious as we are led to believe, they would hunt the answer to that one to the ends of the earth.
July 14, 2012 at 3:39 pm #34264Carol JParticipantaren’t John & Hope still married or did I miss the divorce?
July 14, 2012 at 6:13 pm #34274BonbonParticipantI don’t believe it has been dropped entirely, unless the new writers don’t wish to pursue this storyline. Also, I don’t believe for one minute that Stefano is permanently dead. We saw neither a burial nor a cremation. Just too nebulous for me.
What I can’t understand is why they are letting Ian go. I don’t much care for his character but I would think if they are going to have him be the one to shoot Stefano, they’d want to milk it for all it’s worth. Maybe Stefano and Ian are in cahoots to integrate both the Dimera empire along with Titan Industries and "rule the world."
I’m anxious to see what John is going to do in order to exhibit his Dimera heritage and take over the business. That could get interesting. And, knowing what we know, he’s probably got more right to it than EJ. Maybe John should enlist Chad to help him. Chad should be okay with running a legitimate empire.
July 15, 2012 at 7:32 pm #34295bradysgmaParticipantthat were supposed to be the ones the killer used to shoot Stefano? If he didn’t shoot Stefano, what kind of explanation could there be for him having the gloves and throwing them in the dumpster? And why would he throw them in the dumpster if they were not the actual gloves used?
July 16, 2012 at 1:20 am #34304rfsextonParticipantHe did shoot some shots into the wall. Therefore, there would be gunshot residue on them. Good enough reason to get rid of them.
July 17, 2012 at 1:50 pm #34327jma6512ParticipantWhat if it was Rafe? I thought it was interesting he knew right where to look for the gloves. If he wanted to frame E J that would keep him away from Sami and also away from Nicole.

July 18, 2012 at 12:50 am #34345BrandyRoseParticipantso I read somewhere. Don’t take my word for it, but I understand that Stefano will be back. (DRAT!!!!!)
The way I see it, nobody killed Stefano. Maybe he had to go to Europe to investigate some things regarding Alice’s clues or something. He didn’t want to be tracked, so what if Stefano had created a double? You know how Stefano loves to create Frankensteins. What if he shot one of his disloyal servants and made them into a double of himself, ensuring that the bullet showed up in the body, thereby deceiving the police and coroner? Maybe it was Stefano who planted EJ’s gloves in the trash can, to frame him, after EJ shot bullets into the wall — or maybe not. Oh my word, the macabre world of DOOL is rubbing off on me! By the way, where is the DiMera Mansion servant these days?
I know, stupid guess.

July 18, 2012 at 1:01 am #34346PattiParticipantand a figure come behind him and retrieve them, which we now know is Ian. I did read a spoiler though, I think it was on Soap Central, that Stefano is not dead, but will not reappear until November sweeps. I do like the idea of Stefano shooting himself, though. Now that would be something nobody has done before, anyway. And, as we all know, he knows how to have someone cloned. Problem for me is I’m sooooo over that kind of story-telling. I do have this feeling that Stefano has a connection to Ian, or knows what Ian’s real plans were, but did not take into consideration that he (Ian) would set up E.J. to take the fall. Interesting.
July 18, 2012 at 1:08 am #34349BrandyRoseParticipantthat part about EJ taking the gloves out to the trash. Thanks, lol.
I am sick, also, of Stefano’s cloning people. That’s what bugs me most about the character.
You have a good point about Ian.

July 18, 2012 at 10:49 am #34361BonbonParticipanta storyline like that would have come from James E. Reiley, not our current writers. Besides, it was Rolf doing all that stuff and, as far as we know, he hasn’t been replaced by another diabolical medical genius. :o)
One thing we DO know is that his body was examined by the coroner and pronounced dead so it’s going to be a pretty good trick for the Phoenix to "rise again" from this one.
One think I don’t understand is why EJ felt he had to throw those gloves away. He knows the cops know he fired a gun that night so, of course, he’d have GSR on them. I’m really getting so tired of this investigation going nowhere, especially because all they do is stand around and talk about it.
