Except that my Jewish friends insist it ISN’T a race or a nationality, but I agree, it’s a culture.

in the broad picture, the President is really just a part of the whole process.  He/she can promise us the world on a silver platter; but, unless they have the cooperation of Congress, nothing will happen.  This past year has been a perfect example of the outcome of partisan politics….NOTHING GETS DONE!  I’m not sure where I heard or read this, but it was stated that this is the least productive Congress in the history of our government.  Not sure how true that is; but, it sure could be!!

I totally agree with you. I am not sure what any president can get done without Congress to agree and render assistance in legislation.

The President is one part of the wheel but the founding fathers made our country a tri system so no one group had more power. It is a delicate balancing system.

Hopefully, the next Congress is more willing to cooperate for the good of the country.

the news that the format of third presidential debate will be more like the vice-presidential debate–both candidates sitting at a table. Don’t know why it was earlier announced that this debate would be like the first presidential debate.
