Good grief, that whole thing with theclinic was so far from reality.  They’d never do a "procedure" like that on an examining table!!!

And Rafe was so stupid.  He should have called and simple said to please let him talk to the person that was there with Gabbie Hernandez.  That way there would be no breech of confidentiality and if they said there was nobody there, he’d know he had the wrong place and he could try the next one.

Then again, what’s wrong with those people?  Gabbie isn’t a kid, there is no way Rafe could stop her.  How stupid is that?  I don’t remember them telling Sami she was having an abortion yet she told Rafe she knew they were there.  Huh?  Then what was all that stuff about her trying to find them?  That didn’t add up.

very touching and completely what I would expect to see when the patient is a TEEN with an unwanted pregnancy, as well as not allowing Will to go in with her, even though he was the one who brought her.  Perfectly understandable.  They all acted exactly as I would have expected.  The examining/procedure room wasn’t all that over top; it looked clean, the instruments looked to be clean and sterilized, and I thought the doctor and nurse were both very professional.  They gave Gabi every reassurance and consideration to change her mind if she wanted to.  As for Rafe, I don’t think he was stupid at all.  It’s perfectly understandable for him to be upset and concerned for Gabi.  This is his little sister, who, although it is her decision, is scared, upset, and completely in the dark as to what will happen, since she admitted she’s enver been in this situation before.  If the receptionist would have allowed him to talk to Will when he first called the clinic, it would have been an admission on her part that she knew Gabi was there, which would have been a breach of patient confidentiality.  What’s so strange about that?  Gabi’s information is personal and it was not the receptionist’s place to admit Gabi’s being there.  As a matter of fact, it would have been illegal, and the clinic could have been sued for releasing personal medical information to someone who, for all she knew, was not even related to by offering any proof as to who he was.  The only way Rafe could have had a leg to stand on is if Gabi was a minor.  Neither Rafe nor Sami offered any identification…not that it would have mattered.  Gabi may be a teenager, but she is 18 and therefore presumed an adult.  I thought the whole situation played out very well, and I felt really sorry for both Gabi and Will.  The whole story line still impresses me; but, of course, that’s JMHO.

It’s entirely possible they’ll pull that on us.  That she changed her mind and didn’t go through with it, which is what I kind of suspect is going to happen.

BTW, Gabby really made me cry when she walked out of that room yesterday. That was just so heartbreaking.

they have done abortions on exam tables. I don’t know about today though, but I’d guess it’s still in a normal exam room. And yes, Gabi did have me tearing up too. She played the part perfectly.

I figured since the writers were brave enough to do a gay character they’d have the balls to tackle an abortion but I guess not.
