In Vivian’s daydream, when Melanie is dying from the poisoned hair comb, Carly is just telling her, "Breathe, breathe." Carly is supposedly a brilliant doctor, shouldn’t she be giving her mouth-to-mouth and calling 911 or something? Dumb!
And does Vivian think they will not detect that posion in an autopsy? <sigb> Time to hire some new writers?
February 11, 2010 at 2:02 pm #10402caseyParticipantthe poison is undectable/untraceable.
But gee, Viv’s obsession with the comb should point the finger right at her!February 11, 2010 at 2:15 pm #10403PattiParticipantthe wrapped box itself. If anyone goes near it she goes ballistic. I loved when Kate walked out with it the other day. That was so funny to see Viv’s reaction. I kept thinking that she (Viv) was thinking to herself, ‘not that one, *itch….I’ll have one for you in due time.’ (LOL).
February 11, 2010 at 3:12 pm #10408IzzyBParticipantWhy would Viv imagine Carly trying to save her life, it is a much sweater dream having her watch her daughter die in her arms. Which can I say I am SICK of that daydream. We get it, Vivian is obsessed with this. She can’t wait for it to happen, etc, etc, etc.
Viv said yesterday that the only person that woudl suspect her is Carly and I think she feels no one will listen to Carly. She has no idea that Kate, Hope, Justin, Bo, etc all will suspect something and therefore look at her gift more closely. Honestly I don’t see this as bad wirting, I see this as perfect Vivian. She is in her own world most of the time and doesn’t realize stuff. She personally to me is a little off her rocker and therefore she wouldn’t think of getting caught, she thinks all of her plans are perfect. So it is not bad writing, it is a character who is bad at plotting things – lol
February 11, 2010 at 8:07 pm #10427majencoParticipantWhat about Victor? You don’t think he’s going to figure out that Vivian did this? Please. Lazy inane writing.
February 11, 2010 at 9:24 pm #10434Ms. JakeParticipantWe all know….Dr. Daniel will come to the rescue of his( not knowing yet daughter) with a cure for the poison in the comb! Wonder if Vivian will get caught….or will she escape without a trace?
February 11, 2010 at 9:30 pm #10435IzzyBParticipantI was just coming here to create a new topic with my speculation. I think Victor has been watching Viv very closely. Now that I think of it, it would be stupid for Victor to trust Viv when it comes to Mel. A smart guy like that has to know that Viv will not listen. So I think he did some investigating (heck he found out about her henchmen) and discovered her plan. I think that receipt was for a new comb without poison. I think Mel passed out for other reasons, not anything to do with the comb. Maybe nothing to eat and too much alcohol.
I am not sure how that is bad writing. Viv is crazy and thinks she can outsmart anyone. That is not bad writing, it is staying in character for Viv. She thinks Victor will see the "big" picture and forgive her. Because as she said, Phillip will easily get over this. I mean she is just messed up in the head, but she always has been.
February 11, 2010 at 9:32 pm #10436majencoParticipantI’m sure Victor will find out if he doesn’t already know. The bad writing I meant was making it seem like Vivian has never considered Victor finding out. Is she crazy or just stupid?
February 11, 2010 at 9:34 pm #10437IzzyBParticipantI think that is soooo in character of Viv. She is always so over the top and always way too confident for her own good. She is over confident that this will work and no one will find out, but she doesn’t look at all the pieces.
February 11, 2010 at 9:36 pm #10438majencoParticipantI see your point, so delusional not stupid. I like your theory about the new comb and Melanie passing out from too much champagne. I wondered why they seemed to be pouring it down her throat.
February 11, 2010 at 9:40 pm #10441IzzyBParticipantThat it was because somehow the alcohol would slow down the poison enough for her to be saved, but then after the scene with Victor and Hope today in the pub with the bag and the receipt, I am thinking it has no poison in it.
February 12, 2010 at 2:29 pm #10456PattiParticipantby Victor. I think he knew all along what Vivian was up to, thus the receipt that Hope found. However, I don’t think the drama is over for Melanie where her safety is concerned. Something is going to happen at that wedding, which, as far as I’m concerned, didn’t stand a chance from the start. These two are just not meant to be.
February 12, 2010 at 2:59 pm #10460BonbonParticipantAlthough it seems to me they have made Philip actually be in love with Melanie, she obviously still has feelings for Nathan which will doom the marriage from the start. But I hope it doesn’t get that far. Maybe Nathan will come riding in on a motorcycle and grab her and go riding off into the sunset. Naw, that’ll never happen, too far-fetched.
February 12, 2010 at 3:25 pm #10463IzzyBParticipantIs that this wedding goes off and Mel and Phil get married. Because the truth of what Stephanie did is going to come out at some point and then Mel is going to be torn of being faithful to her vows or going towards her heart. Which is an awful decision to have to make. Then poor Phillip, another woman marrying him that loves another man right from the start.
February 12, 2010 at 6:39 pm #1046653tdogsParticipantand she’s in love with Nat according to the note that Steph didn’t give him, and Mel goes for Nathan while married to Phillip, then Mel won’t have to worry about just Vivian. She’s going to be torn limb from limb by Stephanie, Kate and Victor (and I don’t think Phil’s going to take this lightly either…)
