I’m not an emotional person but this Bo terminal illness is getting to me. The scene between Steve and Bo today was exquisitely devastating and I lost it. Steve/Bo is as much a love story as Bo and Hope and the actors play it masterfully. Mary Beth was wonderfully touching as well and I could feel all their pain.
I don’t know how I will get through this but this is Days at its best.and I must admit to being impressed with Peter Reckell’s acting, screaming at God asking WHY….blaming God so to speak….after taking him so long to return to his family. Just heartbreaking scenes for me. Same with Steve Nichols and Mary Beth Evans….they all brought more than one tear to my eyes today. Great acting by these 3 iconic characters. So far, everything I’ve read about how we, as fans, were going to be blown away with this 9-month anniversary arc is certainly coming true, at least for me. I have never been this entranced since it began with Bo back in August, and days like today makes me believe the best is still yet to come. I, too, don’t know how I will handle Bo’s death, but I have a feeling it will be devastating to watch. I find myself now wishing PR would have decided to stay, but I really believe now that Bo Brady is definitely going to die.
