Thinking back on DOOL "Supercouples" and I realized that some of the best storylines were when they couldn’t be together. Larry keeping Bo and Hope apart. Marlena and the many seperations from John…maybe this is what the writers are going for? In order for us to care about Daniel and Jennifer…they have to keep them apart so we can cheer for them to get together? I remember skipping high school to see Bo and Hope’s first sex! Maybe that’s the plan? I sure hope there is a plan. I like the characters, but this storyline whith Chloe is ridiculous.
First off, those characters were lively and entertaining – not this dreary pair we’ve got. And people keeping those couples apart were villains we love to hate. Hardly the likes of Chloe and Ann.
Third, the dialog and SLs were far more intriguing, making you want to watch each day. This constant drab repetition between Jen and Dan is just unbearable.The thing is, those couples you knew belonged together. They had a certain chemistry that came pouring out of the screen and it wasn’t forced on us. Of course they started slow and we could get to know them as a couple, not jumping into bed or sofa before they even knew each other’s names.
when Jen and Dan very first got together, even before Jack returned, I loved them together. But, unfortunately, the writing over time has pretty much ruined them for me. At this point, I don’t even want to watch them any more.
The difference is… when those couples finally did get together (or back together) it was hot, sizzling, oozing chemistry!! With Dan and Jen I don’t really see it. Now Dan and Chloe on the other hand… while they don’t belong together anymore, their chemistry together is so much HOTTER! I loved them as a couple before the whole Philip/Carly debacle. Dan and Jen seem better as friends to me.
Daniel finished it for me when he gave Chloe that long kiss RIGHT after he was rejected by Jenn. Can you say unbelievable!!! Isn’t that exactly what Chloe and Philip did "that fateful night" that ended her relationship to Daniel?
I just don’t get this "love the one you’re with" philosphy that runs rampent on this show!!! Quite frankly, I don’t think that Daniel is worht it
Daniel as part of any couple. He’s just rotated through women since he’s been on the show. Jen’s been on the show for decades and she’s been with less, I think. But boy he must really be in love with Jen if he waited nearly an hour after “the scene” before he started making out with someone else. Give me a break. I just don’t see any draw to this couple. I think Jen had him pegged more accurately when they first started dating and she thought she wasn’t his type because she wasn’t built like Chloe. I guess if a guy put my heart back in, I might put him on a pedestal, too, but IMO he doesn’t deserve it. He’s not the “most wonderful man” Jen keeps talking about. There are lots of men out there that do incredible things in their professional life, but are sleazy in their personal life. Daniel just might fit the bill. I’d rather see Jen with Frankie, anyway.
