I really enjoyed today’s show. I love the ending too, I thought the music and no talking was a really nice touch. it seemed much more moving. I just wished that Roman was there. he should have been. but over all a very moving episode. Bo and Hope brought tears to my eyes. So great job all around. heck even Lexi, Abe and Theo showing up at the mansion was alittle touching. I am so happy that John is out of jail, but now i’m sure he’s going to obsess about finding out who did this and give the money back. oh i laughed so hard when Victor opened that present and it was a pretty gaudy sweater! LOL!
December 23, 2011 at 10:40 pm #29861caseyParticipantthe plus side of the new Days for me. I loved the family gathering w/Doug and Julie (my favs) and although John’s lightning fast exoneration was a bit hard to believe, I am willing to accept it for Christmas.
I wanted to see a little groveling by Sami as far as John went, but overall loved the episode. And didn’t Rafe look quite handsome today!December 23, 2011 at 11:44 pm #29862NoraParticipantAre you kidding??? Rafe ALWAYS looks handsome!!!!!
December 24, 2011 at 4:48 am #29863luckeyParticipantto read the Christmas story. I also wanted to see more than a little groveling by Sami. She needed to apologize to Marlena for her outrageous behavior! You could see the strain on Lexi’s face when she arrived at DiMansion when she would have rather not been there at all. Good show today!
December 24, 2011 at 12:08 pm #29864BonbonParticipantin those last scenes silently. And I think you could pretty well see the embarassment on Sami’s face as she hugged John. However, I think there is more underlying issues that the shooting between her and Marlena/John. It looked to me like her heart wasn’t totally in the hugs.
December 24, 2011 at 1:03 pm #29866SWParticipantdialog was happening. I can’t believe Sami hasn’t figured out his reaction is due to her doing it on that disgusting couch! I will say this is just a suspicion but I could see EJ winning the mayor’s office and then John/Bope/Rafe find proof that he was behind the crime to John’s company. Instead of EJ going to jail for his crime, they hold it over EJ so that he has to resign from the mayor’s office and Abe is put back in. They need to have something happen so that EJ gets some kind of put down but we know he’ll never be sent to jail unless James Scott requests time off from the show and I don’t see that happening. So, this is my guess!
December 24, 2011 at 3:06 pm #29867justwonderingParticipantInteresting that Sammi chose a sgarlet red dress for her renewing her vows.
December 24, 2011 at 5:49 pm #29869BonbonParticipantI’ve never been to a wedding vow renewal but I though they always wore something similar to a bridal dress, just not as elaborate.
And I don’t think red is Sami’s best color. It make her look very hard.
December 24, 2011 at 9:40 pm #29870PattiParticipanta Christmas present in a suit. He is absolutely gorgeous, IMO.
December 24, 2011 at 10:46 pm #29872caseyParticipantthough on the surface it was probably due to Christmas. But yes, very appropo!
December 24, 2011 at 11:17 pm #29874DeeLanParticipantI’ve been to 1 vow renewal and the bride wore a white or winter white suit.
I remember when Sami married EJ she wore a black gown and looked stunning.
December 25, 2011 at 2:43 am #29876powerpaw2ParticipantIn years past they read almost all of it if not the entire story. I hope this isn’t political correctness creeping in.
December 25, 2011 at 4:40 am #29877majencoParticipantPlus it just reminds me that the hospital set seems to be gone. Don’t get me wrong it was being waaaaayyyy overused for a while but it’s been out of circulation as the new town square seems to be where everything now takes place.
December 25, 2011 at 2:43 pm #29879DeeLanParticipantI’m glad people are now meeting in the town square. I found it odd that everybody and their brother was always at the hospital for everything except illness.
They seem to go in waves. Years ago the place to meet everybody was Doug’s Place then Blondies. Then it was Chez Rouge, The Pub, the riverfront, the park bench. Then it was a toss up between The Pub, the park bench and the riverfront and Java Cafe. At least the town square is more of a neutral place that people of all social classes would be in.
December 25, 2011 at 3:38 pm #29880GoodyParticipantEven these old grandmother eyes can see and enjoy his great looks.
