when I was teaching at this particular school. Often when I would be eating lunch in the teacher’s lounge, I might be the only one at the table who didn’t speak Spanish. The other 2 or 3 people would speak Spanish for the whole lunch time. I never said anything, but thought it was extremely rude for them to do so.

I was referring to the one-night-stand of Fake Rafe’s. She showed up at the loft but Rafe didn’t tell Sami about it until later on when Bo & Hope were around.

Oh sorry now I get what you mean. I think you’re right, it seems like maybe this whole thing was inserted at a later date! Especially since there were spoilers about Stefano having a hired gun killing Fake Rafe in jail, as opposed to how it actually ended up happening.

Hadn’t they said all along that Tim had been Rafe’s partner? Unless they want us to believe this gal was a partner from way back when?

It seems the majority of them are Vietnamese and they AWAYS speak Vietnamese to each other instead of English.  Which is probably why their English is so poor…they don’t practice it enough.  Someone really ought to tell them how very rude that is.

My husband spent several years in Viet Nam training their troops and spoke the language quite well.  I’d love it when we’d encounter someone speaking Vietnamese (especially when they were talking about us) and he’d listen awhile and then just jump into the conversation.  Hilarious!

I have on occasion said ‘thank you’ in Vietnamese (about the only thing I know) after I’ve had my nails done and watch the expression on their faces.  I almost imagine them thinking back on what they said in front of me.

Yeah I thought the jealousy was over the top.  Sami should know better by now.  So what if the woman was his partner.  They knew each other for years.  Calm down and have some self confidence already!  Some women are pathetic with that stuff.  Marlena’s daughter needs to show some more spunk.

the past two or three years about Sami…the woman will never change; it’s like her knee-jerk jealousy and her fly-off-the-handle childish reaction to any situation are a part of her DNA.  I got sick of it, although, I was a fan of Sami’s for many years.  Now, (if I watch the show at all), I FF through her scenes just because I know how she is going to respond to any given situation…there are no surprises in left in Sami – predictable.  Please let Sami grow up writer’s and Corday!  She is over due!

That reminds me of when my husband was in high school and there was a very sexy blond girl in his class who took the bus home. (We had to use public transportation.)  Two ladies were talking trash about her in Polish behing her back on the bus.  Imagine their surprise when she turned around and answered them back in Polish!

My brother was traveling Europe and in one city met a girl from our hometown.  The hotels were all full but he had his reservations ahead of time but there was no room for er.  He had 2 beds so they shared the room. They traveled part of Europe together and one day she went to the market but he was concerned for her so he followed to make sure she was OK.  Some guy in Italy made a rude comment to her in Italian but they didn’t know she understood.  After she swung her bag containing some melons and hit them in the head my brother said she didn’t need his protection anymore.

My uncle married a woman from Germany sometime in the 50’s. She’d been in a concentration camp and watched her parents die there. TWe were visiting them in Californoa where they lived and one morning her and my mom went to the grocery store.  My mom said a couple of women were talking in German and I guess they were complaining about the cost of meat.  My aunt in her thick German accent let in to them about how they were in America now and needed to speak English or they could go back to Germany and eat dog.
