Holy moly Kayla! Is she about to tell JJ that his father raped her? I cannot wait to see nutty Jen react to this!
October 3, 2013 at 12:23 pm #41243PattiParticipantbut she drops enough of a hint that he searches out the answers on his own. I’m sort of glad about this. The way JJ has been degrading Daniel, it will be a sort of justice for JJ to see that Jack was certainly no saint. True, they redeemed him, but Kayla went through hell back then. Good way to put some history back into a storyline. I can’t wait to see what JJ does when he finds out the truth. I say “when” and not “if”, because I’m pretty sure that’s where they are going with this.
October 3, 2013 at 12:26 pm #41244caseyParticipantbringing this up just out of the blue. Wonder if JJ will go balistic over this little nugget of info.
October 3, 2013 at 2:34 pm #41246justwonderingParticipantJJ has always had rosy glasses where his dad is concerned. Even if the rape isn’t revealed, Jack had done dozens of disappearing acts, often letting family think he was dead.
I really don’t think JJ had much interaction with Jack because he was at boarding school most of his life. His memoires are mostly made up in his imagination.
It is about time he learn the truth. Jack was a lousy dad!! Jen really wasn’t a much better mom.
October 3, 2013 at 8:17 pm #41248dvalParticipantI know Daniel has been no saint either but really, Jack did some pretty rotten things in the past. I agree that JJ has made up a dream dad totally based on his imagination and not on fact. but the way he has gone after Dan and the things he has said about him, well, no adult needs to listen to that sort of thing from a teenager. Especially one who has had no interaction with him at all.
And speaking of the way young people speak to adults on this show, if I have to hear not-Jeannie, oh yeah Theresa I blanked on her name for a moment call Jennifer “Jenny” one more time, I might reach through the screen myself and slap that horrendous smirk right off her face.! She is beyond disrespectful, although it did seem some of what Jen said today hit home.October 3, 2013 at 9:31 pm #41250annieoParticipantI can’t stand Theresa. And to pair her with Anne is about more than I can handle. I have never understood why Anne despises Jen so much but then to put Theresa into the mix. Her attitude basically cannot be more disgusting. Why do that have this storyline? It seems to have no purpose. I would not even want to play this role it’s so reprehensible. I guess the paycheck makes it worthwhile. I hope she is a nice person in real life. It’s hard to watch the show "live" because I can’t fast forward through Theresa, Anne, or JJ.
On another subject, I thought the line from Maggie to Dan today was pretty funny – "I don’t want to butt in, but…"
October 3, 2013 at 10:12 pm #41251PattiParticipantbetween Anne, Theresa and JJ, I don’t know which one I want to slap the hardest. Oh, and I’ll add Stefano to that trio as well. He has become such a damn comic villain to me. A buffoon, if you will, and that last scene with E.J. and Sami tells me, once Chad goes and Kristen is destroyed, Stefano’s demise may be just what my doctor ordered for my hypertension when it comes to this one …. either my doctor, or Santa can put it on the top of my Christmas wish list. I am so sick of Stefano DiMera and his endless supply of everyone’s fate winding up under his control. He is nothing more than a cardboard villain now. I’ll be happy to put my money on Sami and E.J.
October 3, 2013 at 11:11 pm #41252GoodyParticipantI can’t stand Theresa club! I am bone weary tired of seeing her smirking, lying face. When does she leave anyway? Soon, I hope.
Goody
October 3, 2013 at 11:18 pm #41253BonbonParticipantWhen she told teresa she was supposed to leave JJ alone she might had well just said, "Okay, you want to get to me, use JJ"
October 3, 2013 at 11:31 pm #41254TFlo1018ParticipantLet that little weasel realize that his dad was a mess. He raped Kayla AND he fled when Abby got sick as a kid. If you wanna throw the recast in there he slept with Jenn’s mom (yes yes he didn’t know who she was initially but still LOL)
Take it there DOOL – let this little pain in the a*s learn about his dad for real.
October 4, 2013 at 5:08 am #41255majencoParticipantI totally agree that he should find out but Kayla would have no business being the one to tell him this and I’m glad she stopped herself from blurting it out.
October 4, 2013 at 1:54 pm #41256PattiParticipantthis storyline is not about Kayla anymore than it is about Daniel or Jennifer or Abbey, and so forth and so-on. They just happen to be the ones the writers used to get the storyline started. This is about JJ, who sees his father as his hero; who disappeared from his family’s lives more than a magician’s rabbit (thus JJ’s total lack of family and guidance, since he was pushed into boarding school without proper supervision in his life); then, when Jack died (and even long before then), JJ watched his mother move on with her life. He feels his father was betrayed but continues seeing his father in this false light and blaming everyone and anyone when suddenly that light goes out. Yes, Jack eventually was redeemed, but back in the day he did terrible things. Maybe JJ should seek out some answers from his Aunt Adrienne. She could sure tell him a thing or two about his dad. Unfortunately, JJ wasn’t around to see or hear about them. Now, he will be given the opportunity to take off the rose colored glasses and see the father, husband and man that made up Jack Devereaux’s early life; undoubtedly, when he does, this will probably set JJ off on a tantrum the likes of which we have not as yet seen, followed by a long-awaited redemption of this young man. I wish the writers would do this more often.
