In one scene Sami is begging EJ to let the children be together for "snow and the holidays" and in the next scene EJ "allows" Nicole to take Sydney out "into the garden" to play. GEEEEZZZZ….why can’t the writers have some common sense. It’s December for the love of Kelly Clarkson!~ Babies don’t play outside in gardens in December! What the heck are they thinking?
It’s not that difficult to have Nicole take Sydney to the kitchen for cookies or something.

December 2, 2010 at 9:14 pm #18688caseyParticipantshe’s not exactly brimming with personality. I guess they just wanted a kid who could be quiet and still. But I wish they’d find someone with a bit more charisma. Remember the first Sydney – she was jam packed with it!
December 2, 2010 at 10:15 pm #18691NoraParticipantI was thinking that about Sydney too, she doesnt smile at all. not when she sees Daddy or even cracked alittle smile when she saw Grandpa Roman.
December 2, 2010 at 10:36 pm #18692SWParticipantflying to Sami the second she saw her mother! I know lots and lots of children and I’ve yet to see one that didn’t go running to their mother when they hadn’t seen her for a while! I’m in NE and we have had relatively warm days in November/December where you might be outside – not often but more lately. Maybe the Dimeras have solar heated grassed in yards?
December 2, 2010 at 11:11 pm #18693cornbreadParticipantI just get insulted by the storylines sometimes. I know it’s Salem but I wish they wouldn’t insult my intelligence by having a young toddler play outside in December …AND on the GROUND with toys! That was just more than I could bear.
I think the child actors should spend some time with their on-screen parents so maybe there would be a bond of some sort. This little Sydney is blank. No expression at all…I like Johnny…he’s a spunky little guy!
December 2, 2010 at 11:58 pm #18695GoodyParticipanthow green the trees and bushes are? Maybe they can hang Christmas lights in all of that greenery in a short while. Salem sure has strange weather.
As to Sydney, maybe she is more familiar with Caroline and Mary and only smiles and looks happy with them. No happy smiles for wayward parents!!!

December 3, 2010 at 3:45 am #18698daysbrokenwingsParticipantI wasn’t even noticing about the weather thing….I couldn’t get over what a sad little girl Syd seems to be. I was holding out for a little smile the whole hour!
December 3, 2010 at 3:46 am #18699PattiParticipantto only respond to Nicole. She’s been shown several times smiling at Nicole, playing with Nicole …. next she’ll be crying for Nicole not to leave, I suppose. Everyone else, including Sami and E.J., might as well be invisible. That’s the problem with child actors who can’t respond to their on-screen family. She certainly should have been directed to run to Sami, or to give a hug to her dearly demented daddy, but this little one, although cute as a button, gets no cigar for even being close to the first Sydney. Heck, she doesn’t even respond to Johnny. I realize they’re trying to give the effect that she is confused and upset over being torn away from her other siblings, but she didn’t respond well to them when they were together either.
