Two people have been on my black list the last couple of days–or at least a gray list. First is Carrie. I thought she went too far yesterday when she slapped Abby. True, Abby was in the wrong with her lies, but she seemed very sincere in her apology. (And, when it is ok to resort to hitting anyway??) On top of that, it’s not like Carrie is the innocent one here. She kept saying that Abby’s lies ruined her marriage, but has she forgotten that she took the first step by kissing Rafe, not to mention that she was falling in love with him before she even heard Abby’s lies? I would think that is what started the downfall of their marriage. Second on my list is Madison. The plan she had with Ian to plant Sami in Kate’s company royally screwed Sami. True, Sami went along with it, but doesn’t Madison feel the least bit guilty that she collaborated with Ian to arrange the whole thing? I would think she would have had an inkling that Ian was up to no good and that Sami would be the loser in the long run. I hope she finds out the effect their plan has had on Sami.
My thoughts about your list.
1. Carrie- yes their marriage was in trouble. it really started when they returned to Salem. It didn’t help that they were on opposite sides on John’s troubles. They never had time for each other. I don’t think that Carrie set out to "fall" for Rafe, it was convenient. Meanwhile, Austin is the most naive man I have ever met. Such a sap that he didn’t see that Abby was "falling" for him. Not to mention that he was WAY too familar with a student!!! However, Abby didn’t help the situation and let it go on way too long. To say, well she apologized, I really don’t think that it was enough. Although getting physical might not be the best way to react, it might help Abby realize the harm she did. I know that Carrie is a cheater, but I think it really hurt cause Abby "confided" inher about her man’s troubles so Carrie felt embarrassed that she sympathized with Abby and was deceived. All that emotion led to the slap.
2. Madison– I agree about her. I never liked her and always felt she had an agenda. I just didn’t realize she was a puppet for Ian. This makes me feel that she is not the hot shot exec that she pretends to be! Instead of her being strong and independent, she is just a little girl who is bullied by her husband. Don’t reallylike her with Brady, and I must say that he is not too smart when it comes to his love life. Really feel that HE should be with Nicole.
with her going to her and whining about the guy she loved. If Abby is going to do grownup things, she needs to stop the little girl whines and going to the guy’s wife was way out of line. It made Carrie feel like a fool! This isn’t the first time Carrie has smacked someone, think Sami! Carrie was treating Abby like she did Sami when Sami was pulling all the stuff on her.
As to Madison: the writers have taken a woman who seemed to be independent and capable of taking care of herself and turned her into a sniffling weakling that is totally manipulated by an evil monster. I hate Ian! As to Sami, she really didn’t have much choice about going along with either of those two witches (Madison or Kate) as she wants to keep her job. I’m not sure what Ian’s agenda is but he seems to want Kate and Madison and doesn’t care how he treats them as long as it works for him!
I don’t feel one bit sorry for carrie, I havent since this whole mess started. I’m so glad when Austin caught up to her at her office that he said, this doesn’t change things between us. I hope she feels horrible about the things she said and called Austin, now knowing it wasn’t true. They need marriage counseling if they have any hope of saving their marriage. I couldn’t believe that carrie and Austin showed up together at the pub. I don’t know Austin should forgive carrie again. She’s the ceriel cheater in this relationship.

Yes, Carrie did go too far. Abby definitely needed reprimanding but she did own up to her lie, didn’t let it go on for months (like Sami normally does and when does Sami ever fess up on her own?), and she IS still so young.
As for Carrie saying Abby ruined her marriage – uh, no.
