Please Writers Please Give Roman a woman! That poor guy. he needs a good woman. all he does is work.
Looks like Tourquoise is the new color on Days, I dont mind, I love the color, looks good on everyone, Sami, Marlena, i think Gabby’s dress had some in it and Maddison’s dress, I liked that dress Madison had on.

I just started watching and Rafe, Madison and Kate are all in gray. Sometimes everyone will have on purple. I really think that keeps us from getting distracted by the clothing and not noticing the storyline in front of us.

There is a lot of thought and even science given with color on sets as it comes across the t.v. screen. Look at the big news broadcast anchors – even their background news set match the color of their eyes to make them "pop" to appear more blue. Even down to the color of their ties and shirts that they wear. And to think old Uncle Walter was in just B&W, plain black tie with a white shirt and we all trusted what he said every night in our living rooms across the country.
December 3, 2011 at 4:28 pm #29308BonbonParticipantThere’s a lot of research done on what different colors do to us and how we perceive what we hear/absorb while we are looking at them.
Heck, put everything in purple and I’m happy. :o)
My mom loved purple too and when the g.kids wanted to tease her, they’d call her The Purple Grandma.
December 4, 2011 at 12:14 am #29317DeeLanParticipantI’d read an article last year when half the sets and most of the clothing was blue that it had to do with going to HD. For some reason the blues and other jewel tones look better and pop more in HD than the others.

December 5, 2011 at 9:29 pm #29341DeeLanParticipantI watch a lot of those DIY shows and remember the color red makes you hungry so some use that in their dining rooms or kitchens. A lot of restaurants use color to evoke different moods. Some want you to relax so you’ll sit longer and order more, others want you to order a LOT of food. Same with home offices. Some colors inspire while others put you to sleep.

(You’ll notice that most OR’s still use green walls, surgical drapes, and scrubs.) A long time ago my father was the superintendent at the military’s Hines Hospital laundry, outside Chicago, and all the main linens then were light green.
I don’t think they do it so much anymore but I used to watch the old hospitals in movies, on TV, and such and, sure enough, they were almost always pale green.
