I’ve tried posting this three times and it keeps cutting me off. So I’ll make it very brief. I didn’t think Ven needed to go home last night but boy, does he need an attitude adjustment! He’s a plus-size himself. Could he have been any ruder? I really felt bad for the woman. And the outfit was bad as well. But he just kept ragging on her about the belt, about everything. Grrr!
August 24, 2012 at 2:18 pm #35196BonbonParticipantI haven’t watched it yet but I can’t believe that. He’s probably the most talented of the bunch and I was sure (along with Mongo) he was going to win.
Okay, now I think THIS show is fixed also. I guess it’s right, "One day you’re in, the next day you’re out". I haven’t seen his outfit yet but I can’t believe from what they’ve seen in the past they would vote him out because of one failure. My God, he’s won twice in a row out of, what, five shows?
August 24, 2012 at 2:37 pm #35198annieoParticipantBut he was in the bottom two. I agreed with the judges on who did go home (can’t remember his name), but Ven’s outfit did the woman no favors and his attitude toward her sucked. You’ll have to watch it. Heidi alluded to "one or more of you will be going home." I tried to post a longer comment about all this, but the site kept kicking me off and I had to keep starting my thoughts over.
August 24, 2012 at 2:48 pm #35200BonbonParticipantToo much to watch (and record) on Thursday nights. I’ll watch it tonight. I’m glad he didn’t go home but looking forward to his remarks. He’s said a couple of pretty snide remarks about, not Chris but the other guy that looks kind of like him, with the two-tone hair. But I don’t much care for him either.
I just wonder if the producers don’t prod some of these comments out of the designers. I’m sure that they do and it’s too bad because then it ceases being "reality."
I was watching Here Comes Honey-Boo-Boo (what a train wreck!!!) and I know for sure they are fed lines just to make them look more redneck…as if they even need to. :o) Some of their words and actions are just TOO obviously fake.
August 24, 2012 at 9:37 pm #35205caseyParticipantand his comments were atrocious about getting stuck with a plus-sized girl. Uh Ven, she looked to me like at least 50% of the women walking around these days. Yes, he’s talented but the problem is he knows it and thinks he’s God’s gift to the fashion world. I hope this shot him down a few pegs but I doubt it. It does make for good tv though.
August 24, 2012 at 10:22 pm #35206MKParticipantI was scared foe a moment that Ven would go home because I love his designs but he does need to check his cockiness. He doesnt usually cause any drama in the workspace and pretty much keeps to himself , but he did go on and on about getting a "plus-size" girl in this challenge. I must say though that I did not think his client had a lot of personality whereas the other ladies seemed pretty happy to be there. But like you say, Bonbon, maybe the producers do prod the designers into making some of their comments for drama. I have also watched Honey Boo Boo! I could not believe I was even watching it. When they have to use sub titles for an English speaking show, that is pretty bad!
, then
