came across as inanely silly to me. As much as I love Vic these days, some of his actions come across as rather juvenile. Why don’t Phil and Mel simply tell dear ol dad to butt out while they get their own home?!
October 2, 2010 at 2:53 pm #16752luckeyParticipantrecall the story showing Mel and Phil doing much house hunting. They talked about it a couple of times here and there; but, it was all of a sudden they start making calls and looking in depth on the internet and then they say that all of the houses they’ve shown interest in are now bought by someone else. And how did they jump to the immediate conclusion that Vic was buying them out from under them?! There was no real lead up to this and no need for it to happen in the first place!
October 2, 2010 at 4:46 pm #16756PattiParticipantwas concerned. What a horrible lead-in — uh, when did all of this house-hunting take place anyway? And, now suddenly Victor is buying up every house they look at and decide they like, all for the sake of keeping Philip and Melanie with Maggie. Pleeease, you horrible writers, a little more meticulous, a little less ridiculous — get some imagination going, get those creative juices flowing, write like a grown-up, for crap sake. Ugh!
October 2, 2010 at 6:05 pm #1675953tdogsParticipantthe writers once again – they want to take the story line somewhere and don’t care if they drive off the road to get there.
October 3, 2010 at 12:37 am #16768daysbrokenwingsParticipantI’m enjoying the light heartedness of this little storyline. Finally some comic relief and maybe just maybe Mel will become someone I like once again. I recall Phil mentioning about buying a home and looking at 1, but hell all we get to watch is Sami & EJ & Rafe. I swear 60% of the show is about them. How’s Hope & Bo & Ciera, Chloe must be the size of house by now, and Justin? I’ve seen so much of Ejami that I don’t even remember who else is on Days??? Ugh.
October 3, 2010 at 12:50 am #1676953tdogsParticipantChloe? Something like that not good enough? How small is Salem that Mel can’t find her first house? Does it have to be a Karikis (sp) or DeMira type mansion for their little love nest (that’s not going to last any way knowing Days – I’m surprised the writers haven’t taken that marriage a part already). Why would Mel want to go live in Victor’s home, (besides the servants, etc.). Phillip and Mel haven’t ever lived alone – always been at Maggies, so is this story line suppose to bring everyone closer together? Just not seeing a newly wed couple (with money) not wanting or actively looking for a place of their own? Not even a loft or penthouse available in Salem any where anymore? Must be a popular town.
October 3, 2010 at 12:55 am #16770luckeyParticipantalong watching the stories and all of a sudden I’m rewinding because I can’t believe what I heard or saw. It’s very much is like something jumping out in front of you on the road and you swerve from the surprise. You’re thinking, "What da hell!?"
October 6, 2010 at 3:52 am #16806drea4713ParticipantJust in time for their marriage to fall apart, you know. If they do buy a house, Melanie will find out about Philip cheating just days after they move in.
