I didn’t catch the whole thing but this Aussie guy is Viv’s son from a one night stand kind of thing?
    Where is this leading?

It happened in Australia.  Maybe she was on vacation there.

Louise is 80/81 in real life and if Viv is even 69 or 70 on the show…this is just a dumb thing for the writers to do – just because they have to give this guy a family tie to someone in Salem.

Louise was born in 1940 so she will be 71 this year. So it’s possible she did give birth in her 40s, especially if she’s supposed to be younger on this show.

I’m 53 and haven’t started menopause yet (keep hoping though) and doc said I could still get pregnant.

He said the average age is 51 so I’m a couple years over that.

it was a bad one, not only ruining the Quinn character, but further destroying a veteran actress (Nadia Bjorlin) even further than she has already been destroyed by this writing team.  Chalk another one up to Ms. Higley’s inept ability to write good stories for the women of Salem, and also Ken Corday’s refusal to see how much this woman has destroyed his show.  I don’t know if Vivian was married to this bum’s father or not, and I don’t care; because, the fact still remains that Quinn being Vivian’s son is an unbelievable, practically impossible, situation.

The SL is stupid, I give you that one.  I also think it is time to get a break from Chloe and her poor me attitude.  But I don’t think that it is impossible for Quinn to be Vivian’s son.  he looks like he could be as old as 30.  Vivian looks like she could be as young as 65.  That would mean she had him at 35, which tons of woman have babies at 35.  I am 34 and just had twins, if I did not have twins I would have tried to have a second child when I was 36.

Chloe and Viv teamed together to take down Quinn?

so yes she could have had a child in her mid-forties.  I just can’t see the story line as it was just thrown out there – another piece of history on DOOL fabricated for the current story line.  I so detest when the writers do this.  Next thing you’ll know is Stephano, Victor, Kate, Bo or Hope have more children out there somewhere, (oh wait for it!)

I think it is more believable with her than some other characters because she was on on Days 30 years ago when this kid would have been born.  So it is not really re-writing history.  Yes, she never talked about Quinn, but baseed on what we know, she was not in his life.  Most likely embarassed by it and therefore wouldn’t want others to know about it.  Again, it is still a bad SL, but it is realistic and doesn’t re-write history.

kid and we have no history and nothing was ever said by anyone in 25 years is such bull of the writers to stick this crappiola in what is a terribly weak story line to begin with; and as you mentioned unbelievable, and impossible – Pfffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffth on the writers! They are so lazy at times, make that most of the time.

Vivian would not let ANYONE OR ANYTHING stand in her way when it came to laying claim to Lawrence and Nicholas, so what makes anyone think that she would not have searched the globe for her own biological child, regardless of how dangerous the bio-dad would have been.  She has ferociously obsessed over Lawrence and Nicholas for years, and Philip as well, for that matter.  Hell, the woman stole Kate’s eggs just so she could give birth to Philip, knowing full well she did not conceive him.  No, I cannot buy the sudden and utter unbelievability of this story line, whether it’s a possibility or not.  There has to be more to this to make me buy the fact that she allowed her true-blood child’s father to drive her away from him all these years and not make any mention of it, especially since she evidently was driven away when Quinn was a young child.  The Vivian I remember would have stolen him right from the dinner table without so much as the slightest detection by his father that the child was even gone.
