I do not like James Scott’s forced laughter throughout this storyline. You weren’t campaigning yesterday; you were talking to your sister. It’s like he just doesn’t fit the character for this story, from speach to acting … and I’m talking both the actor and the character here. He appears to me as phony as a three dollar bill, in his speach (hate his pronunciation of "scheduling", and yes I know that’s how they say it in England), as well as his always flailing his arms/hands throughout his scenes. I’m disappointed with JS in this role so far.
Patrick Muldoon — what in the world happened yesterday? That was the worst acting I’ve seen from anyone in a long time. Emptying the glass of water in your lap was so poorly done, it was laughable. Then, walking into Sami and literally "flipping" yourself over on top of her …. I swear, that was more than an eyeroll; it was embarrassing. Really, I’m not kidding, I was embarrassed for you.
October 25, 2011 at 1:35 pm #27930caseyParticipantI would think that those two incidents are difficult to make believeable given A) the rigorous shooting schedule of a daily program and likely not much rehearsal time spent on this; the improbable odds of it happening to begin with; C) Days always pulling this and it’s always a “roll your eyes” moment.
I will say though, whether it’s the time away from the character or this between a rock and hard place SL he’s been given, Patrick doesn’t appear to me easy in the role yet. Just something off I can’t quite put my finger on.
I do agree re: EJ – a lot about him bugs me.October 25, 2011 at 1:41 pm #27932BonbonParticipantand not missed a thing. There wasn’t one single scene that I could say was even okay.
And Austin falling on Sami should have been left on the editing floor. No, it should have been burned. That was HORRIBLE!!!
October 25, 2011 at 2:28 pm #27935mommytutuParticipantI agree with you both. I haven’t seen Monday’s show yet, but PM’s acting has been stiff from the get go. I could say maybe it’s the time away from the character–I thought that of Marlena and John. But, they’ve seemed to overcome that and are in the swing of things. They are very John and Marlena-ish. Patrick Muldoon just seems awkward. If he’s not planning to get better in this role, please send him back to Switzerland and leave Carrie here. She’s the only one who seems natural in her role.
October 25, 2011 at 3:13 pm #27941luckeyParticipantEJ’s smarmy laugh and arrogant smirk are absolutely sickening to me! I thought the same thing about him while he’s sitting there talking to his sister. I could never imagine in my wildest dreams that a brother, who claims to love his sister, would be so condescending in a friendly chat.
October 25, 2011 at 3:44 pm #27943SWParticipantthen give the character some glasses or contacts! I also wonder if in the real world voters would vote for a candidate with a British accent in the mid-West!
October 25, 2011 at 3:57 pm #27947KseeParticipantFor someone with a past like EJ’s he sure sit’s on a mighty high hoarse!!
October 25, 2011 at 5:45 pm #27954rngatorParticipantDaniel’s attitude and behavior bothered me yesterday. he was needy and overbearing.
October 25, 2011 at 6:15 pm #27955NoraParticipantI totally agree about ej and Lexi they were just painful to watch. I actually enjoyed Daniel, Jenn and then Abe coming and asking her to be pr for him. I also agree about the whole Austin, Sami rafe. Fiasco. Ugh. I knew I was going to hate this SL from the start.
October 25, 2011 at 7:17 pm #27958VikieJParticipantI’m not liking the new-old Austin and that spilling of the water and Sami thing was really BAD….also the John and Marlana love sceens are just as bad as they use to be, makes me really uncomfortable to watch…
LOVE Jen and Daniel..
EJ–I don’t really care for him as the mayor candidate, but I love him and Nicole together
October 25, 2011 at 8:20 pm #27960PattiParticipantbecause Rafe was talking on the phone to Carrie really got to me today (Tues.). What did she think Rafe was going to do, hang up on Carrie? She’s lucky he didn’t tell Carrie how he found them last night. Hope that shower with Rafe washed some of the cobwebs out of her brain. Rafe’s one helluva guy to simply forgive and forget how he found them last night, and she should be thanking her lucky stars that he is so in love with her. Get your priorities into focus, missy.
October 25, 2011 at 9:41 pm #27966majencoParticipantCouldn’t agree more!!! No way that incident with Austin would have ever happened by accident. Puhlease! Then Carrie calls and if I was Rafe I would tell her everything right in front of Sami and her little pot clanging tantrum. Lame.
On to EJ….no way that guy would ever beat Abe!!!! Why does Lexi even care? Unless they rig the election no one is voting for a known criminal from an old Salem crime family. Add his inexperience and the fact that he willingly gave up custody of his own children and he’s unelectable, period. I know, it’s Salem blah blah blah! Lame.
John and Marlena’s cooing love scenes? Sorry…….gag! Too much. Close that mouth John, I don’t want to see your tongue! Blech.
Now as for Daniel, although I am a fan of Jack and Jennifer getting back together, I liked him coming over and supporting Jen with her job offer. I thought he was cute. I do agree it was pushy for him to be there in the first place. We all know who she is ending up with anyway.
October 25, 2011 at 10:31 pm #27967rngatorParticipanti thot it was funny. turn about is fair play?
October 26, 2011 at 2:41 am #27974shadowParticipantGalen’s(Rafe) wife felt about the shower scene today(since she said she didn’t like to watch their kissing scenes). I ff’d because it made me nauseous to watch them. This whole plot is such a crock. As long as I have watched Days, I quit watching for awhile and that must have been when #1 Austin was on. He and Carrie don’t seem comfortable together and I’m not impressed with Austin at all.
October 26, 2011 at 2:56 am #27976caseyParticipantchildish self. I see her going downhill again – from that dig about Rafe not having a job to the adolescent clanging of the pots, to her inviting Austin to sleep over. How would she feel if she caught Rafe and Carrie acting all giggly on the couch?
