I could see someone making that crack in the heat of an argument. By the look on her face she immediately realized what she said and did apologize which is something the old Sami wouldn’t have done.
I think the writers may be trying to show that she is trying to change and is slowly maturing. Let’s face it, most people who get to Sami’s age without growing up are going to have some backsliding before they do because it has become so normal for them. She may also resent Carrie working with her husband. It stinks to be on the receiving end, doesn’t it Sami?!
