WOOHOO!!!! This Wednesday is the 2 hour premier!!!!! yippee! I hope it’s as good as last year!!!
January 16, 2012 at 1:55 pm #30460caseyParticipantthey are being a little more critical this season.
January 16, 2012 at 4:14 pm #30461PattiParticipant(that are staged, in mst instances, I’m sure); otherwise, I’m waiting patiently for one of my favorite shws.
The new DWTS starts this month, too. Wonder who the stars will be this time around. Anybody know yet?
January 19, 2012 at 4:22 am #30489NoraParticipantWell the season opener was pretty darn good, only showed a few of the bad ones. I was hopin for the Ryan seacrest look alike to go thru. He wasn’t as bad as some of the others. I couldn’t believe that first kid was 17 he looked 12 like the judges said! Good start off though! I do agree patti, I wish they would shorten auditions, too and get straight to Hollywood.
January 19, 2012 at 11:44 am #30490BonbonParticipantRyan’s look-alike. He was incredible and even though he didn’t make it through with his singing, I bet they’ll have him doing something in the future. Maybe on the show, maybe somewhere else. He’s not quite as cute as Ryan but he’s sure got him down pat…voice and all.
January 19, 2012 at 2:53 pm #30493luckeyParticipantfor DWTS would be in a few days. So it may be tomorrow? No specific date was stated.
January 19, 2012 at 4:26 pm #30495PattiParticipantand I was surprised they had so many put through to Hollywood on the first audition. I really liked the first kid, though. I just hope he’s not going to be another Astro (X-Factor) with that cocky attitude he seemed to have, but no doubt the young man can sing. Just hope he’s a little more humble than Astro was. I loved the last young man and was somewhat shocked when he started to sing. I was expecting pure country, and was pleasantly surprised when he did his own version of Stevie Wonder’s Superstition. Loved him, so it was the first and the last performers as my favorites from Atlanta.
Incidentally, I love Steven Tyler with all my heart, but he sure did look more than a little "loopy" to me last night. LOL!
January 19, 2012 at 5:26 pm #30496NoraParticipantLol….alittle loopy?? looks like he’s goin for the pimp daddy look with the purple hat and all. Still got the feathers and all. And still loves the ladies! I really liked that one girl that lives in the tent, she was great, atttitude and all. I hope she makes it far. And yes I loved thalast guy too, loved the number he did with the guitar. Hope he makes it far too. I sort of liked that one country guy that had to quit his job and has the baby on the way. He was ok but I think they were right, he might get tossed in hollywood week. So yes I agree the first and last with the exception of the tent girl!
January 19, 2012 at 11:03 pm #30504caseyParticipantfor me was like Bob Seeger meets Dave Matthews. He really held my interest and what a guitar player too! Will be watching him. I thought that one 15/16 year old was capable as well. Talent sure seems more abundant with this judging lineup.
January 20, 2012 at 12:25 pm #30517BonbonParticipantI thought the DWTS they’ve been promoting in the ads are the reruns of previous years’ shows. Is there really a "new" one coming up? I sure hope so as it’s my favorite also.
I heard speculation that Paula Dean might be on.
January 20, 2012 at 5:11 pm #30521PattiParticipantJanuary 21st on, of all channels, GSN. The new season (season 14) starts in the spring, 2012. They are looking for suggestions according to the ABC.com/dancingwiththestars site.
January 20, 2012 at 5:18 pm #30522PattiParticipantloved the last girl; but then, why wouldn’t I? She’s from Baltimore, Maryland. Lots of good talent last night. So glad they’re not showing too much psycho-drama this season. It’s a complete turn-off for me to watch that kind of staged nonsense. J-Lo looked very pretty last night, and thank you, Steven, for losing the pimp look and being more yourself last night. Now, if you could only lose the black nail polish, that would be great. Randy doesn’t change much from season to season, but at least he’s not "doggin" it too much right now. I’m going to predict right now that the young man who looks and sings like Justin Bieber will be in the finals.
January 20, 2012 at 5:50 pm #30523NoraParticipantI haven’t watched last nights yet, I didn’t know they were in Pittsburgh, it’s only an our away from me, I heard in the radio this morning there was a kid from moundsville, wv, which is right across the river about 20 miles away, the guy on the radio said he was good but didn’t get a. Golden ticket. I’ll watch it sometime today.
January 20, 2012 at 10:01 pm #30531BonbonParticipantSurvivor to begin again (February) as they will have two South Florida contestants on. Yay, someone to cheer for. Although I wasn’t too thrilled about Albert last season and he was from FL.
January 20, 2012 at 11:02 pm #30532caseyParticipantI’ve watched every season, but we just got off one which dipped in the ratings, and here we go again. I think once a year would be plenty. I like Survivor but this might be one too many for me to tune in.
