Would someone who’s worked in a hospital please comment? I can’t see any way that they would allow just one person to take care of prescription drugs, especially those that are schedule 3/4 narcotics as it seems like the final sample might be. I would think there would be several safeguards in place to prevent theft.
Loved how Will handled Adrianne! He’s Sami’s son, but he doesn’t fly off the handle like she does. I just hope he doesn’t start doubting himself and actually break up with Sonny. I love these two together.
Kristen… I commented on another thread, so won’t repeat what I said there. Love Eileen’s acting and nobody plays evil as well as she does, but I hope nothing bad happens to Father Eric.
It’s awesome how Ali has enough self confidence to totally go without makeup. And she’s still an attractive lady without a drop of it on her. I hope she makes bail unless of course Ali went on hiatus to spend time with her hubby and kids and the writers use jail to explain where she is.
James Scott’s haircut looks really nice!
I’m glad Justin stood up to Adianne.
Awesome job by Chad drawing parallels between Jennifer’s arrest and Sami’s. But it appears Abigail isn’t truly getting it and will end up running her mouth.
June 19, 2013 at 9:42 pm #40089PattiParticipantor what’s in the water the writers are drinking, but I hope it never wears off. Today (Wednesday) was just another home run for me.
First, loved Kristen in disguise, and her interaction with the desk clerk was perfectly acted, from Kristen’s entry scene to her shock of realizing Eric had come into the lobby and was standing directly behind her. But, mostly, for me, LMAO when the desk clerk did not want to give her the room she requested, which was next to Eric’s, because clearly he thought she was a call-girl! LMAO!!
I cannot be happier at how Sami’s shooting Bernardi is creating this huge umbrella storyline encompassing so many cast members, and not just Sami’s and E.J.’s. It looks like this storyline, which I expect to continue throughout the summer (a great relief from the boring but usual teen sls we are used to seeing in summer), and how so many characters will be affected by what’s going to happen to Samantha as a result of her reaction to the unsuccessful attempt on Rafe’s life. Going to be an engrossing summer, for me anyway.
I was so totally in love with the sibling chemistry between Eric and Sami today, and kudos to Ali for allowing to be seen make-up free and hair unkempt. Adds so much to how things should be for what she’s going through, and will continue to go through, all the while she is in jail. Shout-out to hair and make-up here. Also, it was wonderful to listen to Eric sternly yet lovingly remind Sami of her past when it comes to trying to convince a jury if and when her case goes to trial, which I do believe will happen – and with Justin and E.J. so involved in her defense, I really think we will see some courtroom drama over the summer as well.
Poor Adrian — I love her, but she is so going to lose Sonny, which will be her own fault. Justin has told her this, as well as Will, so if she keeps pushing, which I’m sure she will, it will be just a matter of time before Sonny finds out and it will be buh-bye, mom. She better dig far back into her own history before she loses her “little boy”, as she called him today. That one just made me smdh.
Loved E.J. at least showing a little more DiMera today instead of the kiss-up he’s been giving us the last couple of months. I remind myself now that this is how I want E.J. to be — hard as nails when it comes to everyone but good as gold and standing up for Sami, since it looks to me like the writers have no intention of breaking this couple apart anytime soon — I see a marriage on someone’s mind if Sami ever gets out of this mess. Fine with me, since they’ve both done horrible things and have forgiven each other for it, so I guess I can live with that, too, even though I realize many cannot.
I’m afraid of this writing team waking up one day and returning to boring storylines that will cause people to say, “How Did DOOL Ever Win An Emmy?” — so keep those thinking caps on Tomsell, script writers, breakdown writers, producers, directors, and whoever else is throwing their talents into this terrific show right now. After all, isn’t that the idea of a great soap where writers are concerned —- always keep us coming back for more?
June 19, 2013 at 9:55 pm #40090DeeLanParticipantbut haven’t watched the show in a while so not sure how they’re handling drugs at that hospital.
When I was working there were pharmacists and pharmacy techs. The techs would make rounds each shift and fill the dispenser on each floor. Each patient had their own drawer and there was also a drawer for excess meds that might be needed. Each employee that needed access to the meds had their own code and it only opened the drawer for the patient you were taking meds for. The hospital could check and see what you took and how much you took from it. If any meds were needed from the pharmacy between those refills or meds that weren’t in there an order had to be sent to the pharmacy and they’d either send it up via the vacuum tube, a secretary would go down and pick it up or a tech would bring it to the nursing station. For narcotics there was a check sheet and each vial, pill or whatever needed to be accounted for each shift with at least 2 nurses checking and signing their names.

June 19, 2013 at 11:09 pm #40092caseyParticipantDays has been slinking along aimlessly and wearily for months and then suddenly May comes and we get this Must See TV? Does Days pay attention to viewers? Surely they must, unless they finally got a reality check on how truly awful this soap had become.
I do believe Eileen’s return helped start the turnaround.June 19, 2013 at 11:48 pm #40093PattiParticipantthat have soap media members included as posters, and have claimed that the shows do have staff who read not only message boards, but the likes of Twitter, FaceBook, and other social networking sites from time to time to keep up with what the fans are saying about their shows…good, bad or indifferent. Sooner or later, somebody has to listen when the fans are getting fed up!
