I’ve been behind for a while but I’m caught up now. I’m actually finding the stories rather entertaining, even if they aren’t entirely realistic.
I can’t believe Nicole just came out and told Brady what EJ’s ultimatum was. Typically, the character in Nic’s shoes would dump the character in Brady’s shoes under some other pretense, there would be conflict and misunderstanding and a whole pile of unnecessary crap. What a nice change for her to be honest for a change. We’ll see how it plays out, but I was just glad she didn’t just vanish in the night and leave Brady high and dry again. Nice change.

December 9, 2010 at 3:48 pm #18839PattiParticipantNicole’s sudden decision to come clean and tell Brady the truth. If she continues to be treated the way she’s being treated by E.J., who knows…. maybe she’ll decide to look for Arianna’s taped confession and, if she finds it, makes it go bye-bye. It certainly would serve him right for the louse he has truly become with everyone.
December 9, 2010 at 4:23 pm #18847BonbonParticipantis supposed to be a bad guy but, geeze, could they make him any more the cold-hearted bastard he’s become. Usually all the villians on Days will have some soft spots deep in their black little hearts (as EJ used to have) but now, I don’t see the tiniest little spark of goodness.
I hope this doesn’t ruin James Scott’s standing with his fans. We all know how some people consider these people real. But I’ve got to hand it to him, he sure is playing it well; I just want to put my hands around his neck and squeeze… Either that or slap that self-righteous smirk right off his face. And I’m not a violet person either.
December 9, 2010 at 10:03 pm #1886653tdogsParticipantor form but when "they" have visited in my home for the last 20 or so years, one does tend to become vested in
"their lives". EJ is a favorite of mine, the same as Stefano, Kate, Victor, Nicole and Sami are – (all "bad guys" in my opinion), they have all at one time or another have been ugly and shamful. Heck, even my beloved John had his bad ass side. I think it’s just EJ’s turn in the barrel due to the Yin and Yang (good and evil or dark and light if you will) of the show. It would be a pretty boring show if all we had to watch was Maggie or in the past Mrs. H. (rest her soul).
December 9, 2010 at 10:46 pm #18870dvalParticipantI too, feel that EJ has just become too coldhearted. TTelling Johnny that his mother doesn’t matter any more? Not letting Johnny see his sister? And then he has the nerve to tell Stefano that his fathering techniques worked so well on him and Tony. Sheesh, doesn’t even he see the irony in that one?
Telling Nicole she can only see Sydney if she gives up Brady? That one there is no underlying love of family just his desire to manipulate everyone and pay back for old sins. Although it is an interesting juxtaposition to Stefano who must now face that fact that his "love of family" may very well cause him to end up a very lonely old man now that he has pushed Kate out of his life.
December 10, 2010 at 12:28 pm #18875imported_JennMParticipantI like that idea… maybe that’s why they’re doing it the way they’re doing it.
IMO Nicole isn’t "wanting to have her cake and eat it too" – she can see Syd and still live with Brady and never the twain shall meet, so EJ is just being a prick about it. And I think Nic was right – since he’s miserable he wants everyone else to be too.
No loving parent would do what he did when they ran into Sami. This is not about the children he loves, it’s about controlling them because they are his. JUST LIKE STEFANO. Only worse it seems..
But yeah, I can see Nic getting so fed up of being treated like crap, that she makes a move to get back at EJ for interfering in her personal life.
I mean, we *know* that all this will get sorted out somehow (no spoiler, just that’s how it always goes), the question is how/when… it would also be a another step in redeeming Nicole, who was doing better but regressed with the tape thingy.

December 15, 2010 at 4:25 am #19037justwonderingParticipantExactly what was told to EJ when he was a child? Who raised him, Susan or Stefano? I know he went to England with Susan, but I thought that Stefano got him and sent himaway to school. If this is true than EJ would think nothing of not haveing a other cause that is the way he was raised.
Besides— I don’t think that EJ is capable of love, he just wants control of his possessions. Otherwise, he would have never kick Sydney out when he thought she was not his, he would have kept her cause he loved her. He didn’t want her until he learned of the bloodline that ine her to him. He also wants to hurt Sami as much as possible cause she chose Rafe over EJ.
December 16, 2010 at 3:10 am #19063drea4713ParticipantSusan came back in the picture. Maybe that’s how he could be redeemed, showing a soft side with his mother. ??
I don’t think ANY character is beyond redeeming after being annoyed to death by Melanie and Chelsea but finding myself rooting for them later.
December 16, 2010 at 3:12 am #19064drea4713Participantthat Brady looked past Nicole stealing the videotape of Arianna’s confession and taking it to EJ just to get what she wanted! He should be FURIOUS! If that was my sister who lost her kids, no way I’d still be sleeping with the person who did that to her!
