We used to get spoilers all the time from different people and different sources. Have they all dried up? I wonder why.
January 16, 2014 at 1:02 pm #42358mommytutuParticipantDays is leaking very many and the ones they do leak are so vague that it’s not worth sharing.
January 16, 2014 at 2:39 pm #42362PattiParticipantI read that Corday Productions, SONY and NBC have all instructed through various message board administrators as well as the soap opera magazines NOT to print excessive spoilers. What is released is usually insignificant or misleading, so in a way it’s a good thing, because I never in a million years would have predicted what was going to happen between E.J. and Abigail.
I did read one that interests me though, and it has to do with Arianna’s christening where, supposedly, “all hell breaks loose.” That starts toward the end of next week, maybe even Friday, and I know Julie is behind a lot of it, so I’m guessing it may have something to do with Nick, or maybe Nick shows up, I don’t know, but it sounds like something explosive or pretty astonishing will happen. I’m pretty sure Nick is NOT dead, so that’s why I’m thinking along these lines.
January 16, 2014 at 3:43 pm #42365BonbonParticipantbecause it really DOES spoil it and i’m one of those that doesn’t like to be spoiled, however, when I lived in CA it was hard not to be just because so many had already seen the show and were discussing it. So…I just learned to go with the flow. But, I do miss the action they created here.
January 16, 2014 at 4:09 pm #42366justwonderingParticipantDays cafe mentions a "mountain man" cometh, I thought that it might be Nick.
January 16, 2014 at 9:13 pm #42368GoodyParticipantIn the Catholic church, how old is a child usually before the christening? I thought it would have happened already. Do the parents make that decision?

I believe the Catholics believe in doing it while they are still very young. (There are some that actually wait until you are old enough to answer for yourself.) But I remember just the other day Gabi mentioned something about waiting until Rafe is better to have the christening. I think it was because the dress was so big and now it’ll fit better. So, IRL, she would probably have already had it.
January 16, 2014 at 11:51 pm #42372GoodyParticipantThanks, Bonbon.
January 17, 2014 at 4:36 am #42377justwonderingParticipantTypically, it is done around 6 weeks to 2 months after the child’s birth. Today, parents need to attend classes before the baptism, so depending on how often the parish runs the classes could delay it.
However, it IS up to the parents and as Gabi stated, she wanted Rafe to be there, so she delayed it until he could attend.
Other religions sometimes wait until the child is older.
January 17, 2014 at 1:17 pm #42379mommytutuParticipantWere baptized a bit older, due to family having to come in. The oldest was around 5 months and my younger 2 were 8 months old. There is no set rule. Also, the belief that a baby needed to be baptized in case they died so that they could go to heaven, is no longer the belief. All babes are innocent and that thinking is very archaic.
January 18, 2014 at 12:47 am #42390rfsextonParticipantWhat puts TPTB over freedom of speech and freedom of the press?
January 18, 2014 at 1:15 am #42394PattiParticipantbut if you’re asking why message boards are not printing as many spoilers as they used to, even though some administrators have a lot of people on the “inside” more than willing to offer up info, seems to me, then, that they are simply choosing to respect the wishes of the show itself.
January 18, 2014 at 9:27 am #42397BonbonParticipantdifferent religions have differing beliefs on this. I think (correct me if I’m wrong) that you are speaking specifically about the Catholic church.
My kids were both around three-months old but I don’t recall there being any specific “rules” regarding when it should happen or how old they should be. This was in the Lutheran church.
January 27, 2014 at 3:32 pm #42552dvalParticipantis what day of the week is it? I didn’t think the Catholic Church did Baptism any day but Sunday (at least not in my church and never remember being to one that was not on a Sunday). This was obviously a weekday because so many people had to go back to work (even the never at work Jennifer, LOL.)
