Franklin & Bash; Leverage; Falling Skies; Rizzoli and Isles, plus they will be previewing the new "Dallas" this Monday on Rizzoli and Isles. Now there’s a prime-time soap I was in love with.
There are three I love from USA; Royal Pains; Burn Notice and Suits.
I like these two stations a lot because if you miss your show one night, you can catch it on another night, if you don’t record it.
July 16, 2011 at 5:02 pm #2523853tdogsParticipantFox has another one coming out this fall called Terra Nova or something like that. Everyone loves R&I’s, I mean everyone I talk to – going to have to check that one out!
July 16, 2011 at 6:54 pm #25240DeeLanParticipantFalling Skies is another one we watch. We were watching Game of Thrones when it was on and I’m looking forward to next season when they continue that story.
July 16, 2011 at 7:47 pm #2524153tdogsParticipantme of some of the Diana Gabaldon books that I read. Hated to see that warrior die, (even though he was a Genghis Khan type). And who knew the hero (the older knight) was going to be beheaded? THAT was a big surprise! I hated when he killed the Dire wolf though. (Did you know that the Dire wolves really lived at one time? I didn’t, I thought it was just a made up species, but I saw on National Geo. that they became extinct – and many of them were found in the La Brea tar pits in Los Angeles). I hope that little pipsqueak and his evil mother get what’s coming to them! Lot’s of twists and turns in Game of Thrones for sure – I like it!
July 17, 2011 at 1:40 am #25249DeeLanParticipantDon had read the books and said it’s followed them fairly well so far. He’s told me what’s going to happen in future episodes and I can’t wait to see it unfold.
July 17, 2011 at 11:39 am #25252BonbonParticipantIs it something you need to have watched from the beginning or could I get into it now and know what’s going on?
That reminds me of Merlin too although it hasn’t started up again yet. My DIL and I love it but my son laughs at us. He says next we’ll probably take up Dungeons and Dragons! But it has some great characters and stories and enough humor thrown in to make it very enjoyable.
July 17, 2011 at 12:41 pm #25254SWParticipantshow. I just saw it on "On Demand" and watched 2 shows. They really got my interest. It seems to be a Canadian group running a hospital in Kandahar (sp?). The lead is a female and there is the guy that played the prince in the movie "The Prince and Me" which I also loved.
July 17, 2011 at 4:46 pm #2526153tdogsParticipantis over but you could probably look for reruns and HBO will start running first season right before second season starts next spring. Good show – gory – but great story line, but as I said, so many twist and turns and surprises – yes, you could follow show if you just start out with second season too I think. Might be on line on HBO’s webbie site too.
July 17, 2011 at 5:22 pm #25263DeeLanParticipantWhen I started watching GOT I thought it was medevil but Don set me straight. It’s a mythical land and there are a LOT of surprises. You need to keep the families straight to figure out who’s bedding their own sibling and who’s in line to the throne.
July 17, 2011 at 9:03 pm #2526553tdogsParticipantin the cable guide on t.v., it’s billed as a fantasy…kinda like a 12th century Soprano’s almost isn’t it? I was shocked, just shocked I tell you when the hero (Stark), was beheaded!
Look at this one DeeLan and Bonbon, this may have more info on second season. It says:
While no new cast members have been announced, expect the characters from the current season to return (at least the ones that make it out of the finale alive). The next season is based on the second book of A Song of Ice and Fire, A clash of Kings, and will call for dozens of new parts, large and small.

July 18, 2011 at 11:49 am #25274BonbonParticipantI’m SOL. I don’t subscribe to the premium channels.
July 18, 2011 at 3:52 pm #2528353tdogsParticipanttwo years and next month the two years is up, so now they’ve offered it to me for free for another six months starting then, when I told them I didn’t want it. The funny thing is with cable you can negotiate with them if at the end of the contract (if you are not going month to month) on price and programming, especially if you "threaten" them by saying, "Well, I think I’m going to try DISH this time…" Cable and dish for that matter, will bend over backwards to give you a good deal. Try it. Wouldn’t hurt to ask Bonbon.
HBO package is not something I’d normally watch or want at all, as I don’t watch the crappiola that is about 90% of what they offer and broadcast. They only have a watchable movie (to me), only about once a month if that, but they do have some good made for HBO dramas (or whatever Game of Thrones is – fantasy). So by next spring, when the show comes back on – I will have to find out if they have a deal on HBO or not to continue to watch the show, if not, no biggie.
In the ideal world of cable or dish, the customer could pick and choose the channels one watches all the time and pay for them…I asked both cable and dish about that and they both said it was Congress that would not allow this, because the technology is there for the consumers and companies to broadcast that way. They both however, could not give me an answer as to why Congress will not allow this…I, for one, would like to pay for only the channels I watch and use and not get all the tacked on channels I could give a rip about and have to jump over each time when going to a channel I do watch.
Hmmmmmm…maybe I could write my Congress person and say, it is not Green to have all these extra channels I do not watch flashing up on my t.v. set, it is more ecologically friendly to only have the channels I pay for. Congress people love that kind of stuff.
July 30, 2011 at 11:41 am #25508PunkyParticipantbeen watching Combat Hospital, Rookie Blue, Flashpoint and True Blood.
