EJ’s antics are soooooo re-runs of Stefano’s obsession with Marlena.
Same story, only it’s the kids this time – Stefano’s son, Marlena’s daughter.
If that’s "love" – I don’t want any.

March 19, 2010 at 9:40 pm #11390GoldenDaysFanParticipantI know what it IS NOT: E.J.’s obsessive yearning for Sami. Real love would want the best for their loved one. E.J. cannot stand Sami to have anything but what he wants her to have. That is sickness, not love.
March 20, 2010 at 4:23 am #11413BonoSugaRayParticipantI still want them together!
March 20, 2010 at 12:17 pm #11414SWParticipantremember Stefano’s father (sorry can’t remember his name at the moment) was obsessed with Colleen? She faked her death to get herself and her son away from him. Marlena did her best to stay away from Stefano and now Sami is not really into the son but he’s obsessed with her. Poor Johnny, if he stays anywhere near EJ, he’ll be likely to end up just as bad in a few years unless the show doesn’t last that long!

March 22, 2010 at 3:39 am #11442Ms. JakeParticipantWellll, to each his own…I think he’d be more attractive if he was a vampire, I’d understand his motives better. To me he’s not really good looking…too skinny and too tall, unmasculine and a creepy hairline. He also reminds me of that brittish comedy duo, Laurel & Hardy,,,,he reminds me of the tall one with the little durby hat and upside down smile.
March 22, 2010 at 12:52 pm #11446luckeyParticipantin the story several years ago. I never could quite get what some women saw in him. However, we each have our own tastes in men. Your mention of Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy being British peaked my curiosity, so I looked them up. Stan (the skinny one) was British and Oliver (the plump one) was American. I guess I always just thought of them both as American. I’ve always enjoyed their comedy and now that you mention the physical similarity between Stan Laurel and EJ, I don’t think I’ll ever look at EJ without smiling or laughing!
March 22, 2010 at 9:38 pm #11457cathy1770ParticipantI would love to see EJ and Sami together because the actors work so well together and do produce sparks but since TPTB went the route of having him rape her I really don’t see how that can happen. It stinks royally and frustrates me to no end. I have been a loyal viewer since 1988 and would have loved to have seen what these two could have done. A Brady and a Dimera actually in love and pursuing a relationship would have been a great story line but alas that can never happen now. How can you possibly redeem him now? What a total waste….
March 25, 2010 at 3:01 am #11527drea4713ParticipantI don’t think the writers even know where this relationship is going! It seems back and forth, waiting to see how it all plays out with no real plan or purpose. I don’t want them back together, but it’s kind of fun to watch.
I have to say the show has definitely held my interest in the last few months much more than in previous years. I have almost stopped watching tv altogether, except for days. I am not crazy about all the storylines, probably Mia/Will/Chad/Gabi the least, but there are several that really get my heart beating! I couldn’t wait to see the reaction of Daniel & Melanie finding out they were father/daughter. I was so ready for the Sydney kidnapping storyline to end, it lasted a bit long in my opinion. But nonetheless, compared to how storylines used to drag out (especially with JER), the show is running along very smoothly, IMO.
Did anyone else on this board watch Passions? Every time I see Brady and Arianna together of course it reminds me of Theresa/Ethan. I watched that show for years just to see a resolution to that whole triangle and the truth to come out about everything. I don’t know if it ever did because I got so mad that it took so long. It was like 4 or 5 years, ridiculous!! You could literally not watch the show for 2 weeks and they would still be using the same lines when you turned it back on.
But I digress…
March 25, 2010 at 9:26 am #11528SWParticipantlasted until the end but got very disgusted at the end with what JER did to my favorite couple: Sheridan and Luis. At least Ethan and Theresa got together at the end. The show did drag on and on with stories ending way after the audience had solved them. It also got very weird/dark at the end. It no longer had romantic passion but sadistic/sci-fi psychos. If you want to talk more about it, you can post on the OT board.
