He’s such an adolescent – not reading his wife at all – duh – and rambling on and on and announcing a pregnancy before he consulted w/Carrie or knew about it for more than one second.
This whole SL is so inane I feel it’s a bad attempt at comedy.May 24, 2012 at 4:50 pm #33231lynnekarenParticipantat the moment. I’d NEVER be attracted to a guy that acted like he’s acting with Carrie right now.
May 24, 2012 at 6:54 pm #33232midwifemamaParticipantAll that hand flapping and giggling was bizzare and he is totally clueless to Carrie’s mood. If it was meant to be a comic moment, it completely bombed.
May 24, 2012 at 7:21 pm #33233justwonderingParticipantAustin has been through alot. He thought his marriage was ruined because of Abby. Then he had doubts because of Rafe. Next he believed (thanks to Carrie) that their marriage had a chance. Then he thought she was dead. Now he thinks they have a xecond chance and are together, since Carrie is wishy washy. Finally he discovers that she is pregnant. In his mind this seals the fact that they will survive.
Finally he can feel happy. He can’t help that he is so in love, he doesn’t see the signs, but then most people in love would ignore the signs too.
May 24, 2012 at 7:51 pm #33234NoraParticipantI don’t necessarily like Austin, but out of the 3, carrie, rafe and Austin, I’ll choose Austin, I feel sorry for him more than anything. He deserves so much more than his lying cheating wife.
Wonder what happened to Sonny?? He has been MIA for a while now. You would think he’d be around since his new coffee shop opened up. Where are Justin and Adrienne too???
Very emotional scenes with Lexi and EJ. Was Cameron there with all of them at the mansion? I don’t remember seeing him.
May 24, 2012 at 8:01 pm #33235PattiParticipantand on-screen he is coming off as pathetic, blind, not willing to accept what is in front of him, and willing to forgive and forget the vibes Carrie and Rafe are throwing his way. I don’t pity him one bit, because the writing has been on the wall from the minute Carrie started working with Rafe, and for him to be making every excuse in the book and still be that in love with a wife who has proven more than once that she is a serial cheater should be embarrassed by his public display of emotions, accept his loss, and hope he can revamp his brain cells and decide to simply file for joint or possibly full custody of their child, search high and low to find his dignity, and then move the hell on. Austin has become a shell of a man, willing to grovel for the love of a woman who will only be staying with him because she now feels she can no longer pursue Rafe. Say what you will about Sami, but for me Carrie’s reasoning to stay with Austin now is lower than it has ever been. I hope they never bring her back, EVER.
May 24, 2012 at 8:57 pm #33241BonbonParticipantIn Austin’s case, he is deaf, dumb, AND blind! If I were these writers, I’d be embarassed to let anyone see this stuff on paper.
May 25, 2012 at 1:29 am #33247macrrParticipantThis character is beyond pathetic. It is sad to watch, really.
And Carrie? I do not think she will ever recover any modicum of respect after this Rafe BS.
May 26, 2012 at 1:10 am #33262caseyParticipantnot (again) consulting his wife when Doc Dan came in to relay the pregnancy results. Like maybe she’d want some privacy at that time and none of Nicole and Rafe’s biz.
May 29, 2012 at 12:40 am #33310majencoParticipantSo true. The way he carries on practically screaming about the pregnancy to anyone in the vacinity. I’d drop his ass like a hot rock.
May 29, 2012 at 3:49 pm #33328PattiParticipantEOM.
