I thought Daniel’s attack on JJ was a little extreme. Yes, he’s upset but the kid was not hurt and there is no way in the world that justified him grabbing him and yelling like that. Well, yelling maybe, but not what he did. Daniel was WAY over-reacting.
However, I was glad to see Jen understand the situation and not go off on Dan.

Jennifer kept saying how you shouldn’t ever take your eyes off a child, but she and Daniel were doing just that!

What Daniel should have done was give Abby a little hell. SHE was in charge of Parker NOT JJ. Also – how did he even know that JJ was in charge of Parker – how did he know that Abby just didn’t go into the bathroom for a sec? When he came in JJ was sitting there and Abby was out of the room. For all he knew Abby could’ve been on a potty break and JJ not even in charge of the kid.
Silly scenes overall in my opinion – but I do think the Casey is doing a great job of playing JJ the way he’s meant to be played. Not bad for a kid w/no acting experience.
June 11, 2013 at 12:09 am #39973PattiParticipantit’s Jennifer that surprised me more than Daniel. First, and foremost, NO ONE has a right to put their hands on another person’s child, and Daniel should realize that he left Abigail in charge and immediately thought to inquire about her whereabouts before going off on J.J. Not that I was completely disappointed that J.J. finally got a little comeuppance …. he knows darn well what he has been doing to Daniel since he’s returned. Also, remember that Abbey did ask J.J. to watch Parker while she went to do some task on Dan’s computer, so in a sense J.J. was not paying attention to Parker when Abbey specifically asked him to keep an eye on him. All in all, I agree that it was another stupid plot, but for what purpose I’m still trying to figure out. Yes, Parker could have been seriously hurt, but thank goodness he was not. Doesn’t excuse any of them, when you think about how this whole thing went down. My surprise was how Jennifer was so shocked when Daniel mentioned J.J. may have been responsible for vandalizing his car. Really, Jennifer, isn’t that exactly what you thought when Maggie told you she saw J.J. in the hospital parking garage the day/night Daniel’s windows were smashed? That entire segment was over-acted, unbelievable and completely unnecessary. A bit of a downward spiral considering the show has been so great lately.
June 11, 2013 at 12:37 am #39978BonbonParticipantnobody was watching h im while he was in his room. I also think there was a continuity error with Daniel seemingly knowing JJ was supposed to be watching Parker.
June 11, 2013 at 3:17 am #39984caseyParticipant“knows” deep down her son was responsible for the car biz but she doesn’t want to go there. She’s willing to admit to JJ doing those other more minor acts, but this one would put him at a more malicious level and no mom wants to think their kid is capable. Inevitably, it makes the parent look like a failure.
