    Ended up having to get on a conference call as soon as I got to my parents’ house.  Ate my dinner sitting at my dad’s desk with the laptop and a phone with my folks at downstairs.

    I work for myself and I worked New Years Day.  It was great becaue everyone else was off and I got work done without any interruptions.

     in retail has to work on NYD. All the stores seemed to be open this year.

    What big corporate mucky-mucks work on New Year’s Day?  I guess because they don’t work that much the rest of the time.
