Why is Adrienne on Days?

Unless there are has future plans for her, I can’t see her purpose. I figured we’d see more interraction between her and Justin but so far that hasn’t happened. And for all Justin has been on screen, not a whole lot going on with him either. I think Days needs to pare down its characters and then give them all something substantial and involving.
