Why didn’t they have Christmas yesterday instead of Christmas Eve? Here I was, looking forward to the hanging of the balls, only to find we are a day behind.

Some comments about the episode: Maggie and Jennifer’s white coats certainly were gorgeous and they in them. TPTB must have been paying attention to our remarks because they have certainly been glamming Jen up the last couple of days.

And who was surprised at the way Nicole’s cookie turned out? After seeing the mess in the kitchen, I thought they’d be a mess too. Good for you Nicole.

Julie’s tirade on the ashram and yoga was pretty funny. But then, who doesn’t have at least one relative at gatherings like that?

JJ and Eve…kill ’em off and put us out of our misery. I don’t know where they could possibly go with these two that’s going to justify their actions.

I certainly hope they aren’t looking at doing something other than friendship with Brady and Mel. My Dish TV preview blurbs sure made it sound that way. And them sitting in the park and Theresa seeing them kind of enforced that.

Whenever there is any kind of religious gathering on this show I am always amazed how, over time, every single character has turned Catholic. Originally only the Bradys were and the Horton’s were very decidedly Protestant but not any more. Maybe because St. Luke’s is the only church they can only afford.

Was there a purpose to Victor and Maggie’s “irreplaceable” gifts? Or was it just filler?

I totally agree with you about "mass". The Horton’s were definitely Protestant and the Brady ( of course) Catholic. However, St Luke’s interior is mor protestant than Catholic as theire are no kneelers nor tabernacle! It is more like an Episcopal church.

Actually, most at the Horton gathering would be protestant, except maybe Hope ( since she married Bo at a time when she would ahave to agree to raise kids Catholic).

Besides, most people I know would say ,"I am going to church, not mass"

I think the balls will be on today although I always thought it was done on Christmas Eve anyway

A few months ago, an entire episode of DOOL was pre-empted by NBC for a breaking news story. That bumped all the episodes to one day later. The episode shown on Christmas Day was originally scheduled for Christmas Eve.

best I’ve seen in quite a while …. well, except for the Eve/JJ debacle, that is!  So great to see John today, too!

I wish Days would get it that we’d like to see more episodes that show a softer and happier side to characters. I am more than a little weary of Nicole and Theresa and Kate searching for ways to destroy any woman who has designs on “their” men.
JJ and Paige – is there any more depressing couple on daytime? Geesh, how many times can they break up!

I saw the bible that Victor got from Daniel & Brady, but was there a gift to him from Maggie and what was the gift from Victor to Maggie?

exactly like one she had gotten when she was welcomed into the Horton family that had gotten broken and was supposedly irreplaceable. But, somehow, Victor found one.
