I don’t know about anyone else’s feelings about this s/l, but it seems to me that the only one being honest here is Paul. Both Will and Sonny have their secrets here. Paul is the real victim in all of this, because no one was honest with him.
is after Will’s total ignoring of Sonny – even deserting him on New Years Eve – and easily letting himself break his wedding vows, now suddenly he’s all attentive and lovey dovey with his “husband” (now he’s saying it all the time!).
Now Marlena gets thrown into the mix.Will knew that sonny had a past. However, why was Sonny obligated to tell Will that Paul was an old flames? Will never told Sonny who he was interviewing, so how was he to know it was Paul?
In my mind, this is all on Will. He took off his wedding ring, which was suggested by his editor, really came on to Paul to" get the story". I think that Will was flattered that Paul found him attractive and let it happen.
recalling their love, his proposing to Paul, and finally breaking it off only because Paul was not willing to come out due to his career….but the memories were always there, in the back of Sonny’s mind. Just saying, they both had secrets.
Will didn’t tell Sonny anything b/c he was not allowed – correct? Sonny didn’t tell Will anything about his past with Paul b/c he promised he wouldn’t – correct?
Will slept with Paul – but in my opinion there was no EMOTIONAL attachment there. Physical cheating.
Sonny is visiting Paul – remembering him – thinking about him. Can be borderline emotional cheating.
You can argue that Sonny started down that path b/c Will went to Cali but if your relationship cannot handle time apart OR if you cannot figure it out w/o thinking about an ex boyfriend… well, then you’re probably not meant to be.
Both, in my opinion, are at fault here. And I personally would rather see Sonny with Paul.
He has totally shown he is his mother’s son. Blame everybody and take no responsibility! Whether or not Sonny had a past with Paul, Will is the cheater! I can’t believe how he tried to blame Sonny and how he’s ticked off at Paul and the bell hop for telling all. Isn’t that what Sami did when she slept with EJ while married to Rafe?
Will needs to grow up and assume responsibility. Why did he take off his wedding ring? How many journalists have to pretend to be single to do an interview. That right there says he had a plan to seduce Paul so he could out him. No excuses Will Horton, you are a scumbag!
I do NOT want Will to try and blame anything on Sonny. Sonny has done well so far with batting down any accusations Will brings up and I hope he continues. Sonny is a smart cookie and seems to always say just the right thing.
Was will allowed to tell Kate, cause he did. Will told Kate and let her read the article. The reason he couldn’t tell Sonny was cause the magazine had a secret agenda, hence telling Will NOT to wear his ring. All the more reason why Will should have clued Sonny in about the subject of the article.
Yes, Sonny remembered Paul and thought about him. However, he made it clear that HE (Sonny) had moved on, was married, committed and happy. He went to see Paul about giving him back his baseball.
The fact that Will slept with Paul with no emotional attachment (in my mind) is worse. Cause he did it just because it was convenient. Will didn’t think of Sonny OR Paul. Just took the opportunity to experience the "moment".
What path did Sonny go doen? Remembering someone is not emotional cheating. If so, I imagine everyone is guilty of it! Sonny tried to reach Will many times in California. Will didn’t bother to get in touch with anyone. It’s one thinkg to go away, it is another to be unreachable!
Sonny was remember tender moments b/t him and Paul – not something most people who are in committed relationships do. I know I don’t. I have never lied around thinking of the last time I was in bed with an ex and thought about it – maybe after we’ve broken up but NEVER when I was with someone. To be that is emotional cheating. That’s not just fond memories. Fond memories are of amusement parks or when you adopt a dog together LOL… Not intimate sexual moments. I dunno – JMO.
I don’t agree about Will having to clue Sonny in – the magazine told him not to (agenda and all.) Just like Paul asked Sonny to keep them a secret b/c he was not out – same rules apply here. Sonny has no right to know what Will is doing if work is asking him to keep mum – just like Will has no right to know about Sonny’s past pre-Will. HOWEVER if we are splitting hairs here it would be more likely for Sonny to share with Will since it’s commonplace to share ex stories no?!? Yes Yes – Paul was famous but still.
I do agree – physical cheating (what Will did) IS WORSE. I totally agree with that. Cuz then it’s just about a release.
have to do with part anger, part guilt, and part jealousy. He was very very much in love with Paul; so much so that he asked the guy to marry him, and suddenly Paul is back in Sonny’s life. He and Will have been having some problems of late, plus Sonny is still blaming himself for losing all of their money, which he believes caused Will to take this assignment in the first place, so he’s suffering all sorts of emotions right now. Granted, the greatest one is Will betraying him by sleeping with Paul. Nothing trumps that one, but Sonny’s emotions are out of control now, and he knows Will cheated and removed his wedding band on top of it. He also knows that once Paul revealed to Sonny that he wa still in love with him, like it or not, that lost love came flooding back to Sonny as well; otherwise, why all of those flashbacks to Paul. Even Adrienne knew what they had between them. That’s another thing, neither Will nor Paul know it was Paul’s blood that saved Sonny’s life. This is going to get a lot worse before it gets better, but I do think Will and Sonny will wind up end game. My big concern now is who in the hell is going to wind up being Paul’s father? By the way, I loved Marlena and Paul’s scenes, and Paul’s remark about her referral: "is he related to everyone in Salem, too?" This leads me to further believe it may be John (although I hope not); but worse if it would turn out to be Lucas or Justin — just no writers — no disgusting incest stories, please.
Wow, so now Will is turning the tables and blaming everything on Sonny? I am really starting to dislike this guy!!
held that damn Kate to some accountability by letting her know he knew she told Will to lie to him. Now that Paul’s mother is in town, what’s her connection to Marlena and why that reaction to seeing her? Please tell me John isn’t going to be Paul’s father. Ugh!
For some reason I cannot post new topics so I am using this thread.
After eveything that has happened, Sonny feels the necessity to tell Paul that his mother is a liar. REALLY- cause this is Sonny’s business? So is this Sonny’s way of getting revenge onPaul for sleeping with Will?
Everyone says that J is none of Danile’s business. I really think that Sonny should have left this item alone.
Sonny thinks that Paul is a Dimera, not Johns son. I thought Sonny was just tired of everyone lying, so he wanted Paul to know there was another secret, but he was going to have him work it out with his mom. Then John and Marlena showed up and everything went a whole new direction from what Sonny thought. I think Sonny is just tired of the lies and wants to be honest with Paul the way Paul has been honest with him. It might also be a way to get Will’s story to backfire before it can get published.
