Yes, I believe we will. Some don’t believe he will change, but I think that he most certainly will, so long as Chad is alive, anyway. I thought Joe M.’s scenes yesterday were truly believable, and I have read on some spoiler sites that indeed we will be seeing a changed, softer, more repentant Stefano DiMera. Personally, I’m ready for it, even if most want him to remain evil. I can only take the same villain doing the same evil and never getting caught or paying for his sins for so long, and then I’m sick of him/her. I think everything he has done, he now truly regrets, and yes, I do believe he will keep his promise to God, so get ready … a change is comin’!!!

He may make a stab at it but I don’t think he’ll succeed. Kind of like the person that says, "oh, if just this happens I’ll go to church every Sunday" and then they go a couple of times and the promise is forgotten.

During this time it will open the door for a reconciliation with Kate and then Rafe will go off with the physical therapist. Eventually Stefano will revert to his old ways or retire and EJ will take his place as the main villian of Salem.

It seems like all his character does is set his sights on someone and perpetrate one horrible crime after another. Then he’s never caught or punished. If he changes for the better, I’m willing to give the character a chance. Maybe Joe wants to go retire on a positive note, in the future.

October 18, 2013 at 7:45 pm #41393JohnnyboyParticipantWasn’t Stefano a bit "kinder" during the time when Marlena was "possessed’? I think he was in a wheelchair or something if memory serves me and he was not as vindictive and evil. Was that true or am I having a distorted flashback from many years ago?
October 19, 2013 at 12:12 am #41398PattiParticipantI thought it was E.J. in the wheelchair, and Sami dropped him backwards, or something like that. I could be wrong about that, though, although I don’t remember Stefano being in one.
October 19, 2013 at 10:25 am #41400BonbonParticipantHe had gotten struck by lightning and it had changed him completely. But there was such a hue and cry from the fans that he reverted back to his evil self quickly.
