Are they hinting that Nick was behind Will’s essay being entered in the contest or am I just imagining it? Could he be trying to get Will out of the way?

I sort of thought the same thing yesteday. But my wife reminded me that it was said that one of Will’s professors put him in for it. Maybe this is the way to have the new actor brought in.
