put a cork in Marge’s mouth? I can’t take much more of her. A certain amount of grief is understandable but she has gone WAY over the edge to the point of needing therapy. And that sneer on her face has become intolerable.
I didn’t get it. Was looking at the gun in contemplation of using it on Sami? Well, that would solve a lot of problems all the way around…except for Timmy.
but I agree, she has been one of THE most annoying characters on this show (going hand and hand with the entire storyline for me). The actress playing Marge Bernardi certainly didn’t earn any acclamations from this show either. She has been criticized beyond belief. Poor woman may never work again. LOL!
We should have seen this coming (the gun). She has been ranting on the show for months now and is a loose cannon for sure–no pun intended. She even looked seriously unkempt on yesterday’s show–like she was ready to go off the deep end at any moment.
Do you notice that when Marge is talking, she is often shaking her head back and forth? Drives me nuts.
Let’s stop amd think about this. Apparently, she had no idea that her cop husband was on the take with a secret bank account and a lover. So everything about her life with her husband is a lie!! I don’t particularly like her character, but I feel that she is believable in her reaction.
Her husband is dead, and now it appears that he was a scum bag! Of course she would go off the rail. She spent all her energy defending her husband’s good name and now discovers he has no good name! (This is just as severe as JJ’s discovery).
The fact that she appears unkempt also rings true as she spirals into depression and denial. She is in pain and cannot accept the truth. She need a villain, someone to blame. I feel that she is playing the part very realistically. the fact that so many people don’t like her shows she is acting well.

Sure, nobody put a gun to his head and made him work for Stefano; he did that all on his own BECAUSE he was lying to and cheating on his wife and wanted his life with his mistress. Of course, Marge doesn’t see it that way, thus her believing he was this stellar, decorated cop and everyone is lying about him. Too bad, and I guess when you think about it, why wouldn’t she think it’s all lies and a DiMera set up from the start. The one person she should have believed was Rafe, but she blames his lying in court to save Sami instead. Now, she’s really going to lose it, and though many believe she’s after Sami, I’m sure she will go after E.J., for the simple fact that she believes that Sami took her husband away from her, a man she obviously loved, so she will go after the man Sami Brady loves. I’m betting that will be E.J., even though we know that Stefano is/was the paymaster where Joe Bernardi was concerned.
I disagree, however, that this actress is doing a good job, She is way too OTT, and for some reason the woman can’t shed a tear. All she can do is scrunch up her face and scowl and grit her teeth. Hell, even Sami had more tears in her eyes when she was trying to comfort Marge than Marge herself did.
