Did I miss something? How the heck did EJ get Sydney’s blood on the clothing? Did he cut her? Give her nosebleed? This is so stupid! And whenever she is returned, is anybody going to ask EJ about what kind of torture he put his daughter through to obtain that blood? How on earth are they going to keep EJ out of prison for this? He can’t marry Stefano!
February 19, 2010 at 2:56 pm #10644BonbonParticipantShe said that Sydney was wearing that when she had a nosebleed.
February 19, 2010 at 4:17 pm #10646mommytutuParticipantand that must have been one heck of a nosebleed. BTW, was she wearing that outfit when she was kidnapped? Because I just can’t imagine that a real bonafide kidnapper would have also gone and gotten Sydney’s clothes prior to the kidnapping. How convenient. Sorry I’m so cynical, I’m just not buying into the story so I’m overly nitpicky.
February 19, 2010 at 4:35 pm #10648PattiParticipantthe explanations or reasoning behind E.J.’s master plan are outrageous, right down to his cold and seemingly uncaring reactions to the assumption that his daughter is dead. The man didn’t shed a tear or show any grief. That should have immediately raised a red flag for Rafe, and I’m sure it will at some point. He has been suspecting E.J.’s and Anna’s involvement for a while now. I just can’t help thinking what any father would have been like in that situation. But not that scumbag; it’s all about payback with him and it’s about time DOOL made some of these villains walk the plank. Seems at times all these writers want to do is see how much they can PI$$ the fans off (and it’s working). I did think Ali did a terrific job yesterday. Her grief was well acted out. I don’t think she went over the top at all. I think she showed what any NORMAL mother would show in that situation. She made it look real. I just hope that when all of this does come to an end and she finally realizes what E.J. did, she gives him one of those superb left hooks that she gave him after she married Lucas, right before they cart his sorry ass off to jail.
February 19, 2010 at 5:34 pm #10653loritrollParticipantI think Ali did a great job too. I know a lot of people blame her for all this and think she’s crazy for pushing Rafe away, but when you’re in her position and truly believe things with EJ are better, it’s hard not to listen to what he’s saying and take some of that to heart. I mean, EJ is a manupulitive guy and everything he’s doing to her is well thought out and planned. She’s falling for everything he’s saying and doing, sadly. But I don’t blame her for falling for it. I think anyone in her situation, where she lost one little girl and now is faced with losing another within a year of each other, is going to be emotional and indecisive and grasping at any straws that she can. She’s hurt and mad and doesn’t know who to trust or what to believe. I think she’s doing a fantastic job of showing us that roller coaster. As for EJ, I keep waiting for something to trigger remorse in him. To see a glimmer of compassion and it’s not coming. I’ve always liked his character, because I felt beneath the Dimera blood, the revenge, and anger, there was something in him that wanted to be good. Wanted to be different than his father. I saw glimpses of that when he and Sami reconciled after the rape (please don’t start an arguement on whether it was or wasn’t), but now I think he is truly lost. So consumed with his bitterness that he’s unable to have any sympathy or forgiveness or concern for anyone but himself. I’m so sad he’s lost that part of him that I loved to see. Now all I see is falseness and ugliness. Any hope I had of seeing EJ and Sami end up together is gone. I want her with Rafe and I want EJ to crumble.
February 20, 2010 at 6:05 am #10666GoodyParticipantmy children did not have nosebleeds when they were that young. After they were older, on occassion, but not when they were only just a year old. Wouldn’t a nosebleed at that young age indicate a health problem???
Goody
February 20, 2010 at 12:20 pm #10670BonbonParticipantI had one that would get a nosebleed if you looked at him too hard but I don’t remember them starting until he was about five or so.
February 20, 2010 at 2:31 pm #10680justwonderingParticipantPosted this on the annex but it is the perfect answer for this comment:
Ej is a psychopath true and true. He is charming and highly intelligent, which leads him to be arrogant. He feels no remorse for anything that he does and he is all about manipulating people so that he can get his way. Anna was taken by his charm and now she is in too deep. He wants to punish Sami for having him mourn a child that was not even his (wow, talk about compassion), and make sure she is alone and miserable. He hates Nicole yet she is the one who made sure Sydney was with him. He professes great love for Sydney, yet when he thought she was not his biological child, he threw her out of his house with little regard for her welfare. I think that his SL will be resolved when Nicole returns and perhaps she becomes the hero!!! I have never been a EJ fan, cause I thought he was too smooth and a phoney. Now—I think he is just evil–far worse than Stefano.
February 22, 2010 at 11:57 pm #10743Ms. JakeParticipantGoody…I don’t think the writters are that deep…they just needed to come up with a casual way to have blood appear on Sydney’s clothes! But please!!! this is sooo sick, hurry up & get caught already…is there a way out for Anna??? She’s dumb at times, but not evel…
February 23, 2010 at 2:13 pm #10760PattiParticipantand, as far as I’m concerned, he can go out with this storyline, or at least take him off canvas for a while (take a long vacation, James)…..that’s how despicable he is to me now. I don’t even think James Scott can salvage this character any longer….at least not with me, anyway. And, Sami, they’re going to put you and Anna in each end of a large body-tube, spin it, and see which one lands of "stupid" first; I mean, come on, talk about "Dumb and Dumber."
February 23, 2010 at 5:07 pm #10767BonbonParticipantJames isn’t the first one to play the bad guy. Look at how thoroughly disgusted we were with Kate during the poisoning Chloe storyline. You can’t blame the actor. All that means is he’s really pulling of the way they’re writing the charactor. Look how many characters in the past we absolutely hated but, with the exception of Kate, I don’t remember anyone wanting the character to leave the show.
As to Anna, my personal belief is that they brought her back specifically to take the fall for EJ so he won’t have to go to prison or take the blame for this whole fiasco. Let’s face it, Anna is an expendable character and we know that EJ would throw her under the bus in a nanosecond. As to what will happen to him after this whole thing is exposed is anybody’s guess. I’m just hoping that he and Nicole can get back together and continue to wreak havoc on the good people of Salem.
February 23, 2010 at 5:15 pm #10769IzzyBParticipantAnd honestly still wouldn’t mind her character being off canvas.
As for EJ, I do think I hate him more now and I don’t think he can be redeemed now. But who knows, that changes all the time. I do think a little less EJ on screen after this SL would be good. Give us a break from his evil for a couple months. Let us see a happy Sami for a couple months until the custody of her children heats up.
February 23, 2010 at 8:21 pm #10775DeeLanParticipantIf Anna were to stay around or if they have any plans for it this would be a good time for Roman to get in the picture. He still has feelings for her and we know she has for him. He could step up and stand behind her, get involved in hunting for the truth and prooving her innocence. Give him a SL a girl and everything.
February 23, 2010 at 10:05 pm #10778PattiParticipantjust give me a break from him for a while. What E.J. is doing right now sickens me and I can, in all honesty and truthfulness, say that I can’t stand to look at him any longer. I’m as sure as you are that he will skate from this whole mess, just as Kate did, and yes, just as Nicole probably will. The actor is doing a phenomenal job, without question. Doesn’t mean I have to like the character. As for Anna, if she thinks so much of Roman and Carrie, I have to wonder what she’s thinking helping E.J. with this whole mess. She’s always been a ditz, but never has she ever subjected herself to what will surely come her way once all of this is uncovered. I say take James off canvas for a while and give me a well deserved break from his machinations…not only with regard to his ‘dahling Samanther,’ but also get those two beautiful, innocent children out from under his influence before they grow up to be the sibling version of Bonnie and Clyde.
February 24, 2010 at 10:25 am #10786SWParticipantshe’d get some proof that EJ set the whole plan up. That way, if he tosses her under the bus, she’ll have proof that he was the one behind the whole thing. Just pass that info to Roman and watch him go down too!
