I wasn’t impressed with anyone’s MJ renditions last night except for Melanie who is always good. For the first time I thought Josh was terrible. Where did he get that pick? Two get the boot tonight.
December 1, 2011 at 8:43 pm #29257PattiParticipantMelanie was, on the other hand, superb. I love that MJ song she did. As far as I’m concerned. this girl is destined to win it all.
December 1, 2011 at 9:06 pm #29260BonbonParticipantI was just thinking about you on the way home from the doc’s office and thought I’d ask where you were. You haven’t been around for a while, have you? Or was I just not paying attention?
December 1, 2011 at 10:06 pm #29264DeeLanParticipantI actually liked Josh but Melanie was the so liked Chris Rene.
I like that little 13 year old but she had an off night.
Drew is getting on my nerves and Marcus reminds me of Will Smiths cousin on Fresh Prince of BelAire. The one who sang Tom Jones songs.
Astro needs to go. I felt his was NOT a tribute to Michael Jackson at all but him doing his own songs with references to Jackson songs thrown in. I felt it was an insult for the dancers to have those scarves over their faces. That was a Michael Jackson trademark but it represented an OCD side of him with his fear of germs and he was often ridiculed for it. His children also had to cover their faces until the day he died. That was not a part of him to be proud of.
I’m getting tired of the bantering, insults and name calling between the judges. Nicole is obnoxious and remeinds me of Cara on AI. She’s always talking about when she was performing and the group she was with. The Pussycat Dolls was a Las Vegas review that got popular and made a few albums and toured. They rotated members much like Menudo use to do and even though Nicole was one of the best singers with them she wasn’t with them for long and the group continued without her. Paula is just Paula and Simon will always be Simon. LA is too stuffy and tries to appear above everyone else.
December 2, 2011 at 12:53 am #29276PattiParticipantI, like many of our friends, I’m sure, just went through what I hope and pray to God will be my final move. Moved back to my old stomping ground where I was born and raised, and some things have changed, but I love being back in the City. The renovations are beautiful, and there are still quite a few of my former comrades still here, so it’s like coming home. I think the worst thing was being away from my computer, and missing my friends on this board. Took me a while to cancel out my old cable and get reset in my new place. I was like an addict going through withdrawal. LOL! I’m still catching up on all of the posts, and congratulations on your good health report. So glad to be back!
December 2, 2011 at 2:37 am #29282PattiParticipantthe boy’s ego is way bigger than his mind or his body. Between Drew and Marcus, I have to agree on sending Drew home. I don’t see the pedestal Simon put her on ALL THE TIME. I have to admit that I’m just a wee bit partial to Marcus because he’s from Maryland; however, that being said, I can’t see him winning it though. Still think Melanie will run away with it. Can’t see what everyone sees in Chris either, but that’s JMO.
December 2, 2011 at 4:18 am #29288caseyParticipantDrew sang sounded the same – a muffled and garbled Avril Lavigne wannabe. She also appeared so needy with all those tears and Simon having to always boost her up. Glad she’s gone.
